Besides, the more views/likes the video gets the better.

The relays are not destroyed because they're mass relays, but because the relay network is the target of the Crucible pulse (on this basis I believe the Omega-4 relay will be preserved, provided the other relay in the system doesn't rupture it). Therefore the Citadel is unharmed when it doesn't transmit the pulse.
Quite why the Citadel doesn't need to send a pulse in control when it spreads through the relay network anyway is.... a plothole.
It's possible they were just THAT damn lazy that they DON'T intend the relays to be destroyed in Control, but still used the same CG of them breaking apart, only omitting the explosion. I'm not sure what's worse.
Either way, they don't tell us.
I firmly believe they were just that lazy with it. It's obviously intentional to omit the explosion and show the citadel intact. They don't tell us know, no, but there is logic in the claim that Control does not destroy the Relays.
It's just really baffling that this revoltingly stupid ending is considered the "best" by BioWare, or perhaps second "best" after destroy/Shepard breathes, given that you actually have to work to get this ending (and this ending is NOT what I thought I was gathering war assets for!).
Yeah it's just dumb. Really I would have been happy to just have Anderson as the guy strongly advocating for Destroy and TIM for Control with the consequences for each choice laid down clearly.
defenestrated: The Citadel CONTROLS the Relays AND the Reapers, it being destroyed makes sense if you are going to destroy all the Relays in Destroy/Synthesis. It being NOT destroyed, and NOT firing the beam makes no sense unless the Relays are not destroyed in Control.
His entire argument on the destuction of the Relays is completely pointless if he fails to ignore all perspectives. I don't hate Joe. I've watched his reviews for a long time, but I do hate his views on certain things where he clearly ignores important stuff.

Damn I just saw that quotes from Bioware at the begining of the video and I realised how much I have been fooled. I dont understand how could they pull something like that on us after what they intendeed.
!
This is what I mention anytime someone asks, "Well, what did you think would happen?" I simply point to those quotes and say that I thought they'd actually do what they said. And even if I'm feeling generous and say that technically the endings are different based on those three options, it doesn't change the fact that almost everyhting we see on the screen is the same.

Check out this video at about the 1:28 mark. They're destroyed in the control ending, just as the space child told us they would be.Costin_Razvan wrote...
