Hi all:crying:
Hope someone can help me with this problem's because having no luck.
I bought Mass effect 1 on Origin the other day. (since ive never played any ME before and it was cheaper on that.)
I start up Mass effect launcher pops up press play looks like about start up and it crashes back to windows. I have a look at the ME Log and get this:

[0.088] Log: Log file open, 03/18/12 21:30:24

[0.088] Init: BioWare Final Build Version: 1.2.20608.0

[0.088] Init: Command line:

[0.088] Init: Base directory: C:\\Program Files\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect\\Binaries\\

[0.387] Init: CPU Page size=4096, Processors=1

[0.387] Init: High frequency timer resolution =3.579545 MHz

[0.387] Init: Memory total: Phys=2095600K Pagef=4034196K Virt=2097024K

[15.051] Log: Failed to load 'Material None.': Failed to find object 'Material None.'

[15.051] Log: Failed to load 'Material None.': Failed to find object 'Material None.'

[15.051] Log: Failed to load 'Material None.': Failed to find object 'Material None.'

[15.052] Log: Failed to load 'Material None.': Failed to find object 'Material None.'

[15.052] Log: Failed to load 'Material None.': Failed to find object 'Material None.'

[15.122] Log: Failed to load 'Material None.': Failed to find object 'Material None.'

From looking online alot of people suggest its the Graphics Card and do i have the latest drivers which i updated mine to the latest (6.14.12.9610) but still no joy.

But after playing around in the config (different settings everytime) i get it to work but the game looks like its set on the lowest settings and people faces and objects look pixelated / glitchey

nVIDIA stopped updating its drivers for the two UT3 ME-1 / 2 games several years ago, and as a result, OLD drivers are in order, not new ones, and this is particularly true for antiques as old as the graphics card you have held onto.
