And look at Bioware employees completely beat around the bush. They either A: avoid talking about past quotes or B: Completely bullcrap and use reviews as a scapegoat.

I really don't think they should be sued. So ridiculous.

Remember the time a woman sued McDonalds, because she was clumsy enough to spill HOT coffee down her front at the drive thru? Or that woman in NYC who sued her alma mater because they couldn't help her find a job during a recession?

This has gotten ridiculous.

Thanks OP...according to Casey Hudson this is our work of art along with them....we demand Artistic Integrity or take credit for this fiasco all by yourself Bioware, you didn't listen to us, you just snatched our money.
There are so many games out there, Bioware always stood above the pack...their games WERE well thought out and interesting....WERE...welcome to the land of mediocre Bioware, you lost your edge....tis a pity.

Yeah if they are going to do this whole "artistic integrity" thing they need to take responsibility for it. They said that the game was a 'collaborative' work between them and the fans/players of the game. Now they are saying it's their artistic vision. Bull I call bull on them for saying one thing then saying another. That's two faced and being liars.

This is an oft-reported misunderstanding of the case in question. According to Wikipedia's article on the case, the coffee was unreasonably hot, hot enough to cause third-degree burns, requiring hospitalization, skin grafts and 2 years of medical treatment. Read the article. Not frivolous.

But if you repeat something loudly enough and often enough...

And if you don't post PR blurbs to the complete contrary as to how things will end, you don't end up with an outraged fanbase. Just saying.

For some reason, after finishing ME3 I'm feeling the urge to go back and replay the original Deus Ex on PC from 1999... I wonder why... something about destroy, control, merge? Hmmm...

Things change during game development and I really think game developers need to stress this more when doing interviews etc. In principle, and even also many times, in the concrete, anything and everything are subject to change, sometimes without notice, in game development.

So you are for an ending which you haven't even experienced yourself?
Go play ME3 and finish then come back here and we'll see if you retain your stance.

Again, for those not reading, I watched it on youtube; a more Paragon / happy ending.

Yes but some of those quotes happened after the game was finished.  There's no reason to lie then, unless you want to sell more games that is.  I understand things change, but not one month before release. Things said a year ago I agree don't have much weight,  but they never switched up their description from beginning to the end.  Heck even now they don't go into how their quotes match the end product.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

I've become so tired of having to correct ignorance on that particular issue. Really nice to see someone else knows the actual facts on that.

STICK IT TO THE MAN, GUYS.

Seriously though. Either be civil about this issue or get out. I'm so sick of people hating and being cynical for the sake of it.

Yes, the bunch of videos promising us stuff that never happened is sad, but that doesn't mean you should blame the entire company and swear to the devs. It's just not helping this problem at all. I am genuinely seeing half of you acting like a bunch of toddlers. You are spiting people who enjoyed the ending, saying they can't have been emotionally invested or something else stupid.

Yes, the game was a let-down. I was a Thanemancer. That shiz was a kick in the metaphorical nuts, but I don't say that all devs are a bag of doodles and they should commit suicide or something horrible. I think the entire script was a huge let-down, but I am not going to ask the entirety of BioWare to burn their buildings to atone for their evil sins.

Be civil about your issues. BioWare is one of the few big companies who really care about their fans. I'm sure they are as upset as you guys in how this business has been handled.

bioware does NOT care about their fans as evidenced by their epic fail ending and the FACT that they will not change the ending rather they will just make pointless dlc that is either a prequel or during, but nothing after.

I'm still not convinced this DLC wasn't planned anyway and it's just lip service to quiet the angry mob at the gate. So they'll add epilogues for your crew members to whatever this DLC was going to originally be, and charge 10-15 bucks for it. It's really disappointing seeing Bioware fall so far so quickly.

Always wondered about that! Having studied English tort law, and you chaps having yours spring from the same womb as ours, I never thought that it would be as daft as the urban legend. Now I know :D

I think suing Bioware is a bit much, but I would very much like to hear them comment on these quotes. Cos no one - even people who liked the ending - can look at those quotes next to the "endings" and say that they weren't lies.

Did Bioware intentionally lie to us? Or did last minute production/budget restrictions force them to? I would really like to know, because to me, this is the true reason Mass Effect 3's endings fail, and I feel no pity for their current situation.
