Deceiving your customers by telling them ,you'll be able to do this, this and that will have this affect,
so on and so forth. And then not delivering on any of the points which you were talking proudly about
gives all the reason 50k players needs for a lawsuit afaik.

Budget restrictions ?. Gimme a break. Bioware just spend 300+ million dollars on SWTOR,
you really think they would have money problems on their "could have" been best game ever?.

Last minute development issues, really ?. Bioware KNEW that the players was expecting,
not 1 or 2 or 3 crappy endings, but SEVERAL EPIC endings that would make all of us drop
our jaw into the ground so hard it would set of the richter-gauges...

I've seen the ending.. Youtube. And it is pure CRAP. I can't even understand how that would've
passed the QA department of Bioware.

I guess the final stab in the back of the ME-fanbase will be when Bioware releases the
DLC with 1 more ending, and takes money for it...

  Then just don't come here. Unless Bioware has you employed as its undercover PR team why endanger your health and do something that makes you ill? Sorry no ones gonna give up their honest opinions just because you can't pull yourself away from the forums to save yourslef.
   Seriously if you are stressed out about a game forum and its not your job (ie doesn't actually effect your life in anyway) go read a book, play another, game, get up go for a walk, go to a movie etc etc.

They won't. They won't stop until the run everyone off the boards, have Obama get involved, and make gamers everywhere look like a bunch of whining entitled idjits. They will never take us seriously again.

And what's really the kicker, they're doing all of this for nothing. Bioware isn't going to change anything. EA won't change anything. The only success they will have is to make everyone look at ALL gamers in a bad light.

   WHose trying to run who of the boards? The minority that liked the ending and that can't make a simple post without insults that anyone that disagrees with their opinion is a whiney entitled idjit. Did you really think anyone took you seriously to begin with? obviously not if they think such false advertising is ok because the player will just silently continue to buy .
  Not sure how politics figure into this perhaps you should actually do some research before posting next time. Over the top drama doesn't help your case. A reasoned arguement with facts (minuss insults) on the other hand will get you more respect.

A lot of these things are actually true, they just didn't play out the way I expected it. ME3 has different endings (6 of them), they are affected by your choices (especially destruction) although it is never explained how they affected it, and there is no perfect ending.

The one thing that is 100% missing is the ending where the reapers win. But that was a very old qoute, I guess it was changed.

The only thing you've proven is that twisting the truth is something you are fine with, as long is it's you telling the lies...

  Wow grats on the double speak. Bioware twists the truth, and lies but its us the gamers that are fault if we disagree and this makes us liers etc.

  Really what next? maybe we should do away with the FTC and BBB altogher, because using your logic it will always be the customers fault and never the Big corperations

The cake is not a lie....

* Multiple endings
* Choices influence ending
* Unique emotional ending

Some may question on the numbers involved, but unless you replay the previous choices to save/ sacrifice past crew, choose other romance options, etc, I can see no evidence that there anyone was shorted anything. What I can hear is more of the same echoes; simply cannot understand if that term is Line or Whine....

You know, when I was younger I heard about a company that was selling commemorative copper engravings of Abraham Lincoln for twenty bucks each. If you mailed in your order, they sent you a penny in return.

Technically, they weren't lying either. I bet it would still make you feel ripped-off.

Is there false advertising here? My honest opinion is, well, yes. Should Bioware be held accountable? Honest opinion is yes, but in the way they are getting now. A lawsuit seems very excessive to me.

Hm, interesting theory...  Oh wait.

There goes that idea.  But now bioware gamers still look bad so you were half right lol

wow, that sure is one hell of a load of whopping pork pies. on a serious note, its obvious the devs were working on something big, whatever it was, it does seem to point at something other than the end we got. i still think that they bowed under pressure from EA to release on time. a good ending might have took an extra 6 months, time i would have had no problem waiting for.

In the short run, pushing out the unfinished ME3 will make them a fair chunk of change.  In the long run, however, they've lost a lot of customers over this and stand to lose even more if they try to charge for a proper ending via DLC.  This is something the think tank sitters should have known before approving such a crap ending.

I'm more than just pretty sure that the majority of the 50k+ people that vocally expressed displeasure at the ending would have gladly waited another six months (possibly more) if it meant getting a properly finished title for the series.

Gotta agree with this. If they rush out an ending DLC which falls short of expectations, there's no telling how many more people they'll lose. I personally would wait and pay for DLC which gives us more options, such as a chance to save the relays and avoid the encounter with Planet Incest, instead of settling for free DLC now which only serves to "clarify" the abysmal endings currently available to us.

Suing BW is not gonna happen, and it is not a way to get their attention.

Keep doing what we're doing. Raising our concerns, threatening to take our buisness elsewhere if they continue treating fans this way. We continue to do this, and we become a threat, to damage the viability of the studio as a whole, damage their reputation. If they want to save face, prevent the damage, they respond to us. They fix the things we find fault in. They apologize for no delivering on the promises they made during the pre-release hype ramp up. Otherwise they call our bluff.

I am not bluffing. And if the others here that show they are disappointed feel the same way I do, then the Bioware name will be damaged beyond repair. And what is already a shell of its former self, a husk of the excellence we have seen in the past, will fade away. Another great one lost to the giant that is EA.

And Casey will probably never admit he did anything wrong or that he actually lied to us. It's a common PR tactic to evade responsiblity.

Kina like many in this thread do not admit they did anything wrong, and attempt to avoid responsibility?

This quotage, these promises... they need sorting, they need to be addressed.
This is what was promised and it has been fundamentally left out of the game. Why?.

Bioware, this is not going to go away. If there is a reasonable explanation for not delivering on what was repeatedly promised by several of you on multiple occasions, then please do come forward and address the community, soon.
Its a principle matter of trust that has implications going forwards.

I really don't think they should be sued. So ridiculous.

Remember the time a woman sued McDonalds, because she was clumsy enough to spill HOT coffee down her front at the drive thru?

This is an oft-reported misunderstanding of the case in question. According to Wikipedia's article on the case, the coffee was unreasonably hot, hot enough to cause third-degree burns, requiring hospitalization, skin grafts and 2 years of medical treatment. Read the article. Not frivolous.

But if you repeat something loudly enough and often enough...

Thank you, Stanley!  That was very educational!  :wizard:
