"Mommy, the big bad corporation lied to us!"
You guys are acting like this is the first time corporations have lied to people. I mean come on, if every corporation was sued for falsely advertising and not keeping promises would there even be any corporations?
Welcome to the world.

At least people are acting in stead of staying passive. Since no one cared till now, this stuff has been going on.

It's a good thing that both the EU and the US have strict laws regarding that kind of behavior, along with the other things EA's done with this release, isn't it?
Because all I'm seeing here in the defense of these issues are people willing to flush money without a word of protest. Which is exactly how we got into this situation, and exactly why the game industry is posting month after month of negative growth for years.

That's kind of insulting. I don't feel entitled to anything. Frankly we have been very civil, and calm about this. In fact if you haven't heard we have donated almost 70k to childs play. I don't know where you get your information from, but I respectfully disagree with both you, and Tazz's stances on us. Bioware promised a great deal of things, and did not deliever. We are simply requesting they correct it. Please before you bring the flame swords, read, and understand our protest.HenchxNarf wrote...

They won't. They won't stop until the run everyone off the boards, have Obama get involved, and make gamers everywhere look like a bunch of whining entitled idjits. They will never take us seriously again.
And what's really the kicker, they're doing all of this for nothing. Bioware isn't going to change anything. EA won't change anything. The only success they will have is to make everyone look at ALL gamers in a bad light.

before, even going so far as allowing the Reapers to win the battle
for Earth, according to BioWare's community representative Mike
Gamble.
Really? Then they had better have DLC with that content.

If you read the whole article from RYG, you'll see they were deliberately dishonest about it as well-

demanding a release is full of BS. Me personally wasn't holding my breath for the release,
i wanted a majestic ending, the ENDINGS we were promised, and i hadn't cared if it would
have taken another 6 months before released.
So try another scapegoat then the players. I didn't even know ME3 was released until i read
the review in the newspapers... To me, ME3 would be released WHEN IT WAS READY.
Which is so obviously wasn't.

Well I came across a number of Dev comments in November ->January all talking up about how since it was the last in the trilogy they could have the most flexible ending possible. Aaaand we all know how that turned out. <_<

Hah, this is good.
My favorite, from Casey:
"It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C."
Nice. They really did troll us all.
Oh, wow.
...They really hyped us up for this didn't they? And then couldn't deliver.

I am seriously interested in your thoughts on the topic. I will give them great thought. Can you tell me what you did like about the fans who are giving you problems?
omg it's so ****ing funny how this always works

Now, one can point out that Bioware did not need to talk so much about the game during development. But they did, and it was (false?) advertising. So, to a certain degree, they are responsible to follow up their talk, and thus "liable" to their fans.

Allow me to use an analogy that you perhaps will understand.
Let's say you pay for a massage with a "happy ending" (pun unintended). The masseuse looks nice, you've paid in advance etc etc . . . then just as the massage is almost finishes, she (or he, if you'd prefer) GRABS A MALLET AND WHACKS YOU IN THE BALLS WITH IT. As you lie writhing in pain on the ground, the masseuse/ masseur shugs and says, "You paid for a massage, you got a massage."
Or et's say you pay for a car that you've been promised is a Ferrari. The car looks GREAT, you've paid in advance etc etc . . . you jump in, you're driving along happily, then THE ENGINE EXPLODES. As you sit in stunned incomprehension in the burnt-out ruins of the car, the dealer shugs and says, "You paid for a Ferrari, you got a Ferrari. I know I didn't mention the bomb in the engine, and yes, I know I specifically PROMISED that there'd be no bombs in the engine, but hey, it's still a car."
Is the game awesome to play? Yes. Will some people still love it? Yes.
But you CANNOT sell an item that is fundamentally not what it was advertised to be.

I think you nailed it. This is exactly how I felt after beating the game... and it hurts like hell

So because people don't agree with you they look retarded? Is this the face of the supposed "Movement"? What a spokesman.
