Me and Bioware go back a long way. From Mass Effect and DA:O, so I know both of Bioware's major series's quite well. In both of these beginning of the series games they were fantastic, I loved both of them, owning them both and all their dlc on both xbox and more recently pc. In quiet anticipation I waited for Mass Effect 2, and it was fantastic, anything you wanted to later know was given in dlcs, and my only problem was no tank, which they again fixed.

then the trouble with Bioware begins. In the form of Dragon Age 2, it was an absolute failure of the game, truly awful, it destroyed everything good about Dragon Age: Origins, turning it into a fable-audience aimed hack n slash. Yet Bioware recovered with the dlc, not perfect, but getting better.

And then Mass Effect 3 comes out. By this point 5 or 6 people have listened to me and go ME1 and ME2 and loved them, so we are all hyped for ME3. It releases, and it fantastic, not a problem with it at all. All fits together, the great relationships, the fighting, the story. And then there is the ending.

God knows what happened here. The DA2 staff must have snuck in to see if they could make a game worse than what they did. It was just... awful, shocking, disgusting. And there and then the Mass Effect part of me died. The Bioware part of me died, and my favourite games were left to rot away, ruined for who knows what reason.

Yet some hope remains, with DA2 they did fix it in dlc. DA:O expanded the game WELL beyond the original ending with Awakening. Mass Effect 2 explained the unexplained, it finished of the shadow broker and so many other things. So quiet optimism begins to build.

So I ask for a general opinion, are Bioware likely to fix the ending, and reunite the heros? Or are they going to leave it to rot, thankfully knowing EA's love for money, they will see this as a £££ opportunity, and the bioware staff a chance to fix the mess, everybody wins, I'll pay for a fix. But will they do it? If not I cannot touch ME ever again, knowing ME3 will destroy my soul yet again. So should I hope they will fix it and restart ME1, or should I leave it alone, and focus on games not hell bent to destroy themselves with endings that were not needed. Just wondering what the other gamers thought, especially the 52,000 that have already joined the petition to get the ending redone?
