Yes, but the price has to be a realistic reflexion of the work that went into making the product.

No, no, no...

If you pay for BioWare to actually produce the ending they should have all along - you set a precendent for gaming companies to INTENTIONALLY deliver bad endings - and charge 10 dollars for the "decent" ending.

No way.

There is nothing wrong with being a responsible consumer and demanding the game industry give us quality games!

Hold the line!

I would pay bookoo bucks for it to.

Do a Dragon Age Origins Awakening thing and I'll pay forty dollars.

Yes, but it would probably be the last Bioware product I purchased.

I would but that's just because I want to play more. I loved the ending.

Must be the third 50th time this thread has been made, but again, yes I would.

fixed.

on topic: gladly, it would mean bioware actually took our concerns to heart. given that this apparently was the ending they had in mind (see the final hours thread)

I paid for Broken Steel, so if there's a decent amount of content like that had, I will happily pay for ending DLC.

Kind of hate to say it... but ya I would throw money at them instantly for ending DLC. I want my blue babies!

Probably not. I paid full price for a Collector's Edition, only to find that this game has no ending, just a cliffhanger. Because that's what it is, the extra scene some of us get where Shepard regains consciousness in London clearly shows it. Equally clearly, this is -exactly- what they intended to do, end the game with a cliffhanger, then: 'Surprise! This was not the real ending but you can buy DLC and see what really happened!' But would anyone of us even have bought ME2 if ME1 had ended just as the Mako passed through the relay on Ilos? I doubt it. But they've got us hooked and are counting on us craving closure more than about the fact that we didn't get what we had expected when ME3 came out.

Rewarding a practice like this will only mean this will happen more often in the future and I have a serious problem with that. It will increase the profit margins for the game companies at the expense of the enjoyment of the product by the consumer. No company should be allowed to sell half of a product, while claiming it was a full product, then charge more for the rest of it. If they intended this all along, they should have been clear on this, should have stated that this was only part of the story and that a sequel or DLC would complete it, they should not have led us to believe we would get a full-fledged story and several different endings, then not deliver what they promised. I don't care whose decision this was, EA or Bioware, I don't care that this was done, I dislike the fact that there was no transparency. Knowing this now, I would not have bought the collector's edition at full price but would have waited for the DLC to come out and then buy everything at once, presumably at a reduced price. It really sours my feelings about this franchise enough that I will absolutely refuse to fall for this trick ever again even if the only way to do so is not buy a game from EA/Bioware ever again. I've already stopped playing the game, am not going to play multiplayer and will not replay ME1 or ME2. What's the point? Knowing you are working to one and the same ending, that only things that happen before the final 10 minutes change, but that the outcome is still basically the same, makes it impossible to enjoy the way you get there. If the DLC changes that and is well executed, my feelings may change, but pay for it? Heck no, this is not what we were promised. That was not the deal we made.

If they do bring out paid DLC to finish the story, I will be even more disappointed than I already am. If need be, realistically, I might buy it, I also want to see what happens to everyone. However, only once it goes on sale. I think it should be free, just because they weren't clear on what kind of product they were selling. If they make me pay for it, I will just never buy from them again. It is that simple.

Nope because then I'm only rewarding EA for ****ing me over in the first place.

Go ahead, buy it and feel better, but in the long run you're just going to let EA know they can do this **** again and make even more money in the long run.

Except they won't have. What they have right now is costing them money. Sales for a non-crap ending DLC might allow them to recoup what they've lost so far, but I doubt it.

That would...yes...that's not a bad idea. Child's Play happy, investers get their share, employees get paid, Bioware saves face and we (well most of us anyway) forgive and forget and get the closure we so desperatly need.

Brilliant! ^_^

Well...that is untill EA says "NOES! DATS MY MUNEH, ALL UF IT!!11"

Due to my enjoyment and respect for the series (and for Bioware), I would actually pay for it, sad to say.  That's also a statement about how horribly bad the ending is (the worst I think I've experienced in any medium).

Advice to Bioware if they choose to please their fanbase: provide at least one ending (sad or happy) where our beloved hero Shepard does not have to commit genocide (because my Shepard would put the gun to his head before doing so).
