Just finished my first run of ME3. I took some advice and did it with a default Shep. I choose to destroy the Reapers. Everything seemed to fit. Bioware crafted a wonderful Trilegy and when they were done telling their story I wasn't left wanting. Usually when I finish a series that I love as much as I love ME. I'm sad that the journey is over. With ME it's different. I loved everything about it. From the Mako to mounds of weapon and armor DLC's that I will never use. Everythign just felt right. This is a way to say, "Thank You." to the company that has now solitified itself, in my eyes, as the greatest videogame developers of all time. It was a Hell of a Run Bioware. I'm glad I was part of it. Mass Effect was beautiful.
Wow, if that's not sarcastic, then it's certainly a breath of fresh air. Glad to know there's one more person who enjoyed the game (there are few of us left here now).
Most everyone enjoyed the game. I know I did. I just hate the endings with a white hot burning passion and hope they die a slow, horrible, painful death.

Oddly enough as you proclaim them the greatest video game company every, you say it was a Hell of a Run. Like it just ended. Mysteriously and without any closure, it just ended. It is sad really.
It did end. The ME Trilogy is over. I'm game for another if they see fit to make it, but the Shepard Trilogy is over.
The game is over, but that doesn't mean the story was finished. It was left incomplete with an abrupt sudden ending and lots of plot holes. If you like lots of plot holes at the end of a story then that's great for you, I prefer for a story to be concluded seamlessly without plot holes.

Just be sure to let it sink in... fester... consider all the angles... why did Joker fly away? Aren't you the least bit curious what happened to EVERYTHING ELSE?
Just... give it a while. It took me an hour.
Other than the endings? Yes, this game was gold.

After that we had a long discussion about what happened in my game, and he was as disappointed with my ending as I was. Not his, per se, but mine. It's all a matter of the paths you took to reach the same ending.

Maybe he's being sincere. My friend played with a default Shepherd, finished the end, told me I was over-reacting. Then I asked him if he was content with letting Tali starve to death on Earth. He said, "... Tali made it to Earth in your game?"

Tali made it to Earth in mine too. And, from what I have seen, when I run my real Shep's I will be satisfied with the end of their stories as well.

I'm so wretchedly tired of people claiming that the ending was somehow 'fitting' or 'well done'. If you believe this you are provably wrong. There are so many mechanical, artistic, and emotional flaws with the ending of ME3 that it staggers the mind.
If you have to explain an ending, then it wasn't one.
Now, is the series itself a wonderful series? Absolutely. There are small quibbles with each game, but nothing game-breakingly massive like the ending of ME3. Learn about literary theory, writing mechanics, storytelling throughout human history. If you believe that the ending is somehow acceptable from any of those frameworks, then you are operating from a position of extreme ignorance. I'm not being nasty, I'm simply telling the truth after days of watching sanctimonious psuedo-intellectuals jabbering about how they 'get it'. There's nothing terribly complex about the ending to this game and series, unless you're alluding to the staggering awfulness of how terribad it actually is. If you're referring to that aspect of it, then it is indeed a complex affair, because it takes honest to God talent to make an ending that is this far from acceptable, much less optimal.
Thank you thank You thank you !
