Welcome to the cause, it feels good when ppl realize, we're not a bunch of 12 year old whiners and we do this whole thing because we <3 Mass Effect and we care about it.

Hold the line!

I think it's safe to say that those of us who stayed away from any spoilers thought that this ending controversy was just some self-entitled gamers wanting blue babies and unicorns. I know I did.

I felt that people weren't smart enough, simply CoD players that picked up at ME2 with no comprehension.

I, too, was wrong. So very, very wrong. It took a full day for the outrage and, well, pain to sink in. I rarely post in forums, but I need to apologize as well for thinking so poorly of the fans.

I will hold the line.

WAIT, we can have Unicorns? can they be flying unicorns with blue babies riding them?
Ahaha
yep, I finished and yelled WTH was THAT?

Welcome to the fleet, but you don't have to accept paying for an ending in order to hold the line. A few of us will accept nothing short of a free ending DLC. In the meantime, we still help hold the line, even with those that are willing to pay (Hey, we can always youtube it, right?).

No problem XD

I had a similar experience, didnt come here until i finished the game, but the first time i saw an headline that read "Fans want to change ME3 ending" i thought, "the hell they do! not their decision!"

And then i finished it, understood what was going on instantly, and how hard i had missed the point. Had to come here, not even a forums person XD

Back then, I posted in this thread, condemning the very idea of a $10 ending DLC. My reasons for this were solid. If one company starts with this kind of practice and has success, you can bet that others will follow the example and soon we will have to buy our endings extra for most games. I still stand by the notion that buying an ending DLC is not the way to go for video game consumers.

I don't like the idea of a $10 Ending DLC either. Unfortunately, the ending is just so bad, I need something to exorcise it. If I have to pay for it, I will, but it would be the last game I buy from BW.

Id pay full Collectors Edition Game price for a new ending. Would it be a bitter pill to swallow? Sure, definitely. But Id worry about that AFTER I got my kicks in on a better ending :P

And that should go to show how much I care about this. I love the story more than my own hard earned money, and I am more concerned with getting the game fixed than anything else.

I thought the same too...until I saw the ending for myself. Why did I reload when Marauder Shields killed me?!

WHY?!

Hi there,

I create this thread because after finishing the game yesterday night, I really feel like I should apologize.
Before I even started the game, I was in the general discussions forum a lot and I heard about the "bad endings" and came across a thread about "new ending dlc".

However, after seeing the current situation at the end of ME3, I realize I really had no idea what I was talking about just a couple of days ago. And I say "Screw it!"
I do want an ending DLC for ME3 and I am ready to pay for it as well because I am just too invested with this franchise to give a damn (mind you that ME3 IS an exception in that regard).

I also said that we should take the ending BioWare intended, believing that after all the work these people put into their franchise it must be somewhat appropriate. Clearly I was wrong on that count as well.

So here it is, I apologize to everyone who has been "holding the line". You were right and I was wrong.
You guys are not haters or people with a false sense of entitlement, you genuinely care and so do I.
And though I think the chances of actually achieveing something are small at best, I also think it is worth to at least be heard.

Well, felt I had to get that off my chest, so my regards to everyone involved in the discussion and ... we will hold the line! :innocent:

This is why EVERYONE that posts an opinion regarding the endings MUST have
experienced their horror before passing judgement. I heard before
playing the game that they were gonna be bad but I refrained from
reading up on them and I almost wish I had spoiled them so I would have
been prepared for the craptacular finale we were given. I'm really tired
of all the journalists going around bashing the Retake movement and
ending their article with "when I finish the game I will accept the
endings" or the comments that are equally as uninformed.

BTW welcome to the fight! Hold the Line!
