I was simply wondering if people had noticed the same thing at my title. This more applies to shielded and barrier enemies such as Maruaders and such.
The Widow is more or less meant to be themost damaging weapon in the game. The counterpart being the Javelin (which does look...very very cool but I prefer to look of the Widow, so this is based from that weapon.and some observations.
I first noticed this during the first series of events after you attack Cerberus HQ. I had upgeraded my Widow up to V (as I hear you can only get the X version via NG+)
Now bear in mind I fully upgraded my Cloak to maximise sniper rifle damage, upgraded my disruptor to have an extra 25% (I think...might have been 15%) headshot damage, along with the passive talens for weapon damage (minus the one where Weapon weight limit is increased so theorietically, this Centurian should have had his head blown clean off...
Except only his shields were taken down and his health, in-tact.
Bewheldered I reloaded and finished him off, only for the same thing to happen again and again.
It might just be me...but it now takes two shots to kill off a shielded enemy.
Is it me, or am I doing something wrong or uninformed of a new gameplay mechanic?
Widow no longer able to oneshot? (insanity)

I believe so yes. As long as protections aren't stripped, OSOKs are no longer possible on Insanity.

It's like you never played the demo on Gold.
There is no bleedthrough to health damage on Insanity or it would be pathetically easy (well, easier)
As long as an enemy has even a single bar of protection, you won't deal health damage.
This is somewhat circumventable, however. If you use Disruptor rounds and the enemy has a bar or two left you can still get a killshot since ammo damage is considered "extra" damage that seems to be applied first.
The best thing to do is roll Disruptor Ammo and get Energy Drain.
Energy Drain to no (or low) shields and then headshot.

Your right...I avoided the Gold on the Demo like the Plague after my first attempt at it...*shivers*
I had a feeling it wasn't just me so thanks for the info ^^
