Kaiden is whiny, wishy-washy and makes me wonder just how committed he really is.
When is he ever especially wishy-washy? I thought for the longest time Garrus was unintentionally wishy-washy. He needed two games and a lot of handholding to get over it.*snort* The war involves killing, seeing people die, lots of innocent people, without being able to help them. Unless you expect to commit unspeakable atrocities under the guise of whatever it takes, I think Kaidan can handle it. It's his job.Aiyie wrote...
I can't help but think Kaiden will abandon me (if not turn against me) the instant I really push things, when I decide to show the Reaper's what total war really involves.
war, especially total war, is outside of morality. it simply is.
war is the extension of politics by other means.
war, like any violence, must be the last resort, but when it is invoked there can be no reservation, no hesitation. if you must kill a hundred innocents in order to kill a single enemy combatant, so be it. in war, he who is more ruthless, more dedicated to defeating the enemy regardless of the cost, wins. and that is the reason it must be the last resort.
i feel as though Kaiden would not accept that, whereas someone like Ash, or Javik especially, would.
