Adept damage too high

Basically biotic explosions are way too powerful. 

There is no reason to use weapon-dependent classes in Silver/Gold when you can spam biotic explosions that hit like an AOE widow.

Your topic is wrong. Adepts are tuned fine, it is the weapons that have too low damage.

Adepts damage is not too high, I'd say you are though >>

Yes adepts are the best chance a team has against reapers, but those biotics aren't so flash vs shielded enemies.

It feels like weapons are balanced for somewhere between bronze and silver, while biotic explosions will murderficate everyone on any difficulty with ease.

Reaching full damage potential with a power-heavy class takes a few hours. Reaching full potential with a gear-heavy class takes a REALLY long ass time. And the power heavy classes still greatly outpreform the gear heavy classes.

Edit: This excludes Infiltrators because they are god tier.

Infiltrator headshots do too much damage. Krogan melees do too much damage. Charge/Nova does too much damage. Warp/Throw does too much damage. Adrenaline Rush allows too much damage.

Wait, did I just suggest all the classes have uses? Mind = blown.

Adepts also have paper for shields. Sorry but formbeingthe squishiest class in game we deserve some hard hitting skills. Also if you look at the damage of shields vs armor, biotic detonations don't do that much on shields. Watch an adept take down an atlas next time and see how quickly those shields go down.

You just spam two infinite, low cooldown homing missiles which do AOEs with the damage of a widow headshot, and radius of a grenade.

I'm not bragging but really, I see us Adepts saving teammates who are down all the time. Whether it be from throwing an enemy who is about to curb stomp you, or deploying a stasis bubble over your incapacitated body so that any enemy that tries to execute you gets statsis'd <----? Either way, for weak defenses, we deserve something powerful. Besides, we don't do so great with shields :s

Yes and you also forget the fact that if your not situationally aware as an adept you will be on the floor quicker than any of class in the game.

Good. Maybe I'll stop seeing adepts with widows and/or revenants, then.

I have my adepts setup to work with other adept powers to create biotic explosions to do massive damage. It can just as easily be done with energy drain and overload for tech explosions.

For me it's fine and it's fun :]

Yes, continue complaining about Adept damage while I use a single Decoy to shut down 95% of the enemies in a match.

This, most of the weapons are underpowered. Biotics and tech powers are fine.

You know the way I look at it is I never like to have an all Adept party and two I never complain about over powered things because it means they get fixed :P

Because sitting behind a wall while three Asari Adepts blow the **** out of everything and I get to do absolutely nothing unless I play a class that I hate is bothersome. As is getting kicked from Reaper Gold matches because I don't want to play Asari Adept/Human Sentinel.

Variety is the spice of life. Four Salarian Infiltrators for Cerberus, Four Quarian Infiltrators for Geth, and Four Asari Adepts for Reapers is not variety.

Because if said classes are indeed OP, they take away the challenge, and thus the fun for quite a lot of people, myself included.

I'm not saying I agree with the OP though. I'd prefer it if BioWare buffed weapons instead of nerfing anything.

The OP, people always complain about damage but ignore the fact of survivability. It's like playing a cloths in any mmo for the most part you will be the highest dpser however your health pool and survivability is questionable and linked directly to the players skill more than anything else

- Even Krogan Sentinels go down in seconds in gold, when the spacebar derps out.

- It does a ton of damage versus everything, including shielded enemies.

Other classes can take an entire two extra bullets before their shields go down on Gold. That's so incredibly useful!

I don't even know how to create biotic explosions or tech bursts.
So it's all water under the bridge for me.
