Why does it even matter!? Don't we all get the experience in the end? It's not like we are pitted against each other.

BTW anybody up for full on adept/biotic lobby? Or even the same character? Imagine the brute's health go down with 4 drell adepts/vanguards throwing grenades. Or even lifting all the cerberus tools in the first few waves.

Adept, soldier, infiltrator, and prospective vanguard, sentinel and engineer player here.
Yeah we all get experience in the end, but personally, if I don't feel like I'm helping out very much, I just lose the enthusiasm to play lol.

All adept = awesomesauce.

I loled.
I think vs geth on gold challenge was the first time I beat gold at all (and with full extraction at that).  And, also my first time using an asari adept.   Didn't know I could do warp-throw detonatons until then either (I suspected but didn't know it for a fact).  That was a ton of fun - using the geth primes as a producer of explosions.

For such an OP class I'd think it would be the most used.

Charge on armored units is fine if you can explode something. So you need biotic and some team play. Mindless charge only works on bronze.

Yeah, but what about when your team is down, and you're staring at a Banshee and a couple of Brutes, all alone? Adept can deal with that. Vanguard... not so much. Well ok, it's of course POSSIBLE, but much harder. Point is, as much as it is a team effort to finish matches, sometimes you don't have the luxury of having three others backing you up, making up for your class's weaknesses. And in those cases, something like the Adept can be quite handy because as far as I can tell, there's no enemy type that they can't handle.

Nice.
I like soldier very much as well - Krogan though, but mostly for playing vs reapers silver.  Haven't tried in gold.
double inferno grenade + carnage on a brute or ravager = immediate death lol.  Well almost immediate.

ME3 balance is terrible on nearly all levels. Very poor design. It's quite amazing its still fun to play although things are getting old too quickly imo.

Salarian Engineer + any Infiltrator is more potent.  The Engineer locks down all of the enemies, doesn't matter what they are, as long as you team can do damage to them, any damage, they die.  The Infiltrator is there to help with objectives that make you move from your hidey hole.

Wave 9/10 hacking or device enabling is the worst.  That's been my experience so far lol.

what i'm imagining is the case is this:

biotic classes will be more powerful in the short term, since you simply need to level them up to reach their full potential. later on, once people start getting good guns to higher levels, i'm willing to bet that weapon classes will either catch up completely or eclipse them horribly, and we will be having complaints of a totally opposing nature.

Some classes have better strengths in certain areas than the class I use, nerf it.

I have a Carnifex VIII with the barrel upgrade V and armor peircing IV.

Spamming powers as a Engineer/Adept is still leagues better than just shooting people in the face with my Carnifex (Even better than Carnifex + AR/Marksman). The SOLE exception is unshielded grunt units, who die in one headshot.

Most weapons are pretty bad though. Avenger X with a damage upgrade and AP ammo took a full clip to do one bar of damage to a Ravanger on Silver. Yes, yes, Assault Rifles suck on armor, it's still ridiculous.

You talking about the asari adept now?

The bottom line is that any class that isn't balanced around Brutes/Banshees/Ravagers/Primes/Atlases isn't balanced properly. On Gold and Silver, nobody cares if you can get 8 kills in 5 seconds on the first few waves. They care if you can meaningfully contribute to the quick, efficient, lowest-possible-risk takedown of the big dudes.

I love Vanguards to death in theory, but their ability to wreck groups of unshielded enemies (provided there are no latency/bug issues...) is irrelevant. They, and a few other classes, need to be given competitive tools for dealing with big bads.

Why do these threads keep popping up? Each class has it's own merit if you know how to play them. No class has "too high" of a damage.

Agreed.
