Sooo just as the title says. My EMS, not just the total assets or whatever, was over 5,000. Galactic readiness was at I think 73%. I picked the end where he destroys the reapers. I didn't get the vid where he lives and is lying in the rubble. Did I miss something?

Unless you mean that you missed the fact that some people don't get it for some unexplained reason, then no.

There are quite a few threads about this. I don't think you are alone.

Since it's just a tiny scene at the end, it's not a huge deal. But it's still odd that some people aren't seeing it.

I know, it makes me wonder if my Shep even lived.

I think you need the 5k before going into the Cerberus HQ. Since I think this is where the game checks what your EMS is and fires off the 4k EMS achievement, so I think this is where they set what your ending options are.

I'll give that a try. It wasn't over 5k before that mission. Thanks a lot for the tip!

Didn't think to ask, but that's definitely it. You have to be looking at your score before the assault on Cerberus HQ.

you also say you had 5,000+ with readiness of 73%, does that mean 5,000 after the readiness? or do you mean 5,000 before the readiness (i.e. it was actually 3,650 (5,000 x 73%))

He said he had an Effective Military Strength(EMS) of over 5000 and the TMS he didn't care to say(since it will always be more than EMS)

TMS=War Assets
Ems=TMS*Galactic Readiness

The Readiness and the EMS both factor in I guess. I hear that overalll you need 4,000 EMS (that is after the initial EMS * Readiness calculation). That's why you didn't get the ending where he lives.

Yeah, the EMS is apparently tallied before the point of no return. If you go back to an earlier save and launch the mission, it *should* work.

Readiness is just a multiplier. EMS is all that matters (Total * Readiness = EMS).

At a readiness of 73%, u need a TMS of 6000+.

The EMS score, I think, is locked in *when you enter the system* where Priority: Cerberus HQ is located. If you load that save, you might have to exit the system and re-enter to force it to update the EMS.

I think you only get the Shepard lives video on a NG+ game or from an import from ME2. Could be wrong, but I think I heard that somewhere around here.

That's most likely a lie.

Does it really check at Cerberus HQ? Mine didn't check or give me the achievement until I started Earth. I suppose I don't know when it checked, but I imagine it would have been in that spot.

It's check in Cerberus HQ, i confirmed. When i got 5000+ EMS after cerberus mission i didn't won the trophy in PS3 who is discribed as "deliver all the possible forces in the final battle".

When i did before the mission i got the trophy. And don't need to re-enter the system,

I think I heard that you also have to do the renegade options with TIM and shot him before he kills Anderson, I read that was important to getting the breathing scene but I couldn't confirm it is vital.

You only need 4000 EMS if you do that (shoot TIM before he shoots Anderson). At 5000 EMS you should be getting the breath scene regardless of whether or not you saved Anderson.

And yes, your EMS gets calculated right before you assault the Cerberus base, not once you get to London. (I fell prey to this distinction as well on my first run.)

Nope. Not neccessary.
