So, I guess this would fall under character discussion...
Anybody else notice how Javik's squad-select image has him holding a Disciple shotgun? Yet, he can only equip rifles and pistols? And the shotgun he's holding happens to be asari in origin...
Seems... awkward.

Did you also notice that you cannot reset Javik's powers in the Med Bay, even though you can do so for any of your other squadmates? Guess you better not change your mind regarding his power assignments.

I did not notice this.. but I never really used the power reset thing either. Matter of fact, I didn't even claim a bonus power for my first playthrough, and haven't gotten around to playing a 2nd time yet.
