So a post from what is most likely a bot or a low level employee feeding rehearsed responses so easily riles people up....

Not to mention there is still a theory that basically leaves the ending intact... just addds something after that explains things while remaining loyal to lore. Relax people. Relax.

And, as they said, the twitter confirmed it, so it wasn't just one response.

We don't want more crap, we want the crap removed, there's a difference.

They are in NDA mode, they will not say ANYTHING that will give away, hint at or confirm an ending change, expansion or anything of the type until the alotted time. They aren't allowed to. They are however allowed to spin us all over the place with non-decisive wording. Note that they "won't change the end" it's not the end we want them to change in the first place, it's what comes next, or what should've come next ie. waking up in London most likely.

I just want to reiterate that we need to reign it back in. I'll admit,I lost it there for a second, but the fight is not over. It was probably a mistake and poor phrasing.

Anyways, bioware can consider that a test of what things will look like if they officially announce they will not fix the ending.

this means nothing

if you beleve in "the truth" DLC then the ending is allready written so no it wont change
If you beleve in indoc then it must have been planned so no the endding wont change
If you want them to create a new ending then no at this time 4am/Monday/March they do not plan on changing the ending

You beleve some dude payed to monitor social media is in on whats going to happen? Hes been given a stance to take and will take it untill told otherwise

Wow you people seriously over react. The answer is the same non-answer you've been getting for a very long time now. Read it carefully and stop over reacting.

Humans = emotional. It's how we, as a species, tick. That's nothing new either :)

Perhaps someone is monitering the forum and saw the bot was being retarded from our comments. I know for a fact that the twitter thing is a bot.

Dude, how could it be a bot when it answers some questions specifically? I've seen their Twitter making jokes toward people.

It's not a bot.

Fair enough. At this time I have no plans on purchasing any Bioware/EA products.

Same.

edit: And holding the line, obviously.

I can see one of two possibilities for what this all means.

1) They are talking about possible ending revisions, and some PR person was quoting from an old script.

2) They really aren't planning any ending revisions, but want to keep that quiet until they make the announcement of some SUPER COOL AWESOME DLC that will make us all forget how painfully bad the ending is, and we'll all shut up and buy their pointless missions.

Ok, this was just a test folks. I bet they were testing to see just how committed we are to this fight. I think the fact that many of us responded with even more determination then before proves that we are in this for the long haul.

Good work everyone! I'm proud of all of you:)

No need to rollercoaster between hope and despair yet, deleted or not the news was not new - we already know no ending dlc was planned and we already know they're taking our feedback.

This is real simple:

If Bioware leaves ME3 as is, I'll happily replay the game (and the others) many times. I'll quit ME3 right after the culmination of the romance before the Cerberus base. I'll never touch multiplayer again. Another Bioware game will never come home with me. Bioware has made some great games and I refuse to lose sight of that.

If Bioware changes the ending I'll read reviews of their next game (both fan and critical) and let it sit to assure they aren't pulling another Mass Effect 3. If it gets good reviews I'll likely pick it up. Eventually.

What has been lost for me is buying Bioware games sight unseen. Those chips are off of the table and can't be won back.

This isn't personal - at least not for me. This is an economic decision about how I spend my gaming dollar and time. Bioware is only one company among many and my imagination is rich enough to fill in the ending of this otherwise great trilogy.

Funny to see them walking the statement back though...

Because Jessica tweeted that she helped write some of the Algorithems for the mass effect twitter bot?

Don't let the facebook/twitter post shake your faith. That's exactly what they want it to do. If it shakes your faith and you give up - that's one less voice decrying the endings. If it shakes your faith and you get angry - that's one more voice added to the 'angry mob/easy to call a minority' pile.

Stay civil, stay motivated, keep each other's spirits up. Hold the line. The probability that this would take a relatively long time to get a result was always quite high.

Hold the line! :)

It's worth pointing out that with that facebook post going up and then being taken down, they win on both fronts. Because the BSN doesn't miss a beat, the people who are posting here are going to be made aware of it, leading to the aforementioned 'losing faith' and because they've taken it down within a very short time span, the public at large aren't going to see those comments attached to a Mass Effect facebook post.

Also, recognise that this isn't really a change of position for them - this whole time they've been telling us that their endings are fine and we've been telling them that they're not. To paraphrase Harbinger: this changes nothing.

Don't let it get to you! Keep doin' what you're doin'! Play the long game!

Apparently Bioware needs to restructure their staff. Either the writers, the developers, the project managers, or the PR.

Something isn't working for them.
