This kinda makes me mad. They need to release a message and explain themselves. No double speak just a freaking explanation.

All that the entire thing means that that, at this moment they have no plans to update the endings that they are ready to talk about publicly. That does not mean they are not talking about it internally based on the feedback they are getting, it just means they have nothing to announce.

It's the exact same thing they've been saying since they started talking about it.

if you beleve in "the truth" DLC then the ending is allready written so no it wont change
If you beleve in indoc then it must have been planned so no the endding wont change
If you want them to create a new ending then no at this time 4am/Monday/March they do not plan on changing the ending

You beleve some dude payed to monitor social media is in on whats going to happen? Hes been given a stance to take and will take it untill told otherwise

Don't be shocked it they release the same statement tomorrow, it's pretty bad PR to release something like that this late.

I really won't be shocked to hear the exact same thing sometime tomorrow, unfortunately.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Do you realize what just happened? The massive outrage was SO BAD in the span of three minutes they had to remove the Facebook and Twitter comments because EVERYONE was exclaiming their utter hatred of Bioware.

Bravo guys, they actually had to remove the comments.

Fair enough. At this time I have no plans on purchasing any Bioware/EA products.

Same.

They should have taken the out the people who came up with the indoctrination theory gave them and said they planned this all along.

Two weeks ago I'd of given BW my credit card, told em to charge away and just send me whatever games they come out with. Now they aren't gonna see another dollar from me.

Peace out BioWare, it was fun while it lasted!

well that is what they get for having the User name Biowarenumber1 and a password of 123456

That's the stupidest combination I ever heard in my life! That's the kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!

Well, the response to this has been somewhat uncivil (no surprise), so lets at least reign in our emotions, so if this was flamebait, we dont totally bite on it.

So an interesting thing just popped up on the Mass Effect Faceboook in regards to a fans message.

Nevermind, we lose.

I've never been so disappointed as a gamer in my life... and that's a lot of gaming.

The only way we lose is if we give up now because of a Facebook post.

If we hold out, they still don't change it and we don't buy their games...they lose.

This is real simple:

If Bioware leaves ME3 as is, I'll happily replay the game (and the others) many times. I'll quit ME3 right after the culmination of the romance before the Cerberus base. I'll never touch multiplayer again. Another Bioware game will never come home with me. Bioware has made some great games and I refuse to lose sight of that.

If Bioware changes the ending I'll read reviews of their next game (both fan and critical) and let it sit to assure they aren't pulling another Mass Effect 3. If it gets good reviews I'll likely pick it up. Eventually.

What has been lost for me is buying Bioware games sight unseen. Those chips are off of the table and can't be won back.

This isn't personal - at least not for me. This is an economic decision about how I spend my gaming dollar and time. Bioware is only one company among many and my imagination is rich enough to fill in the ending of this otherwise great trilogy.

Funny to see them walking the statement back though...

This. Exactly.

Bioware is a failed company at this point.

This is why your project managers have to always tell your writers, "Look, I like that you want to be an artist, but you should also want to be employed. You have to write endings that people will like, not that critics will find edgy."

They wrote the ending of this game for themselves, for other writers, and for critics; they didn't write it for the fans, and that's the mistake.

But they way they've handled this has only made it far, far worse.

For some reason, all of the reactions in this thread made me want to listen to Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth".
