Masseffect twitter or Facebook probably don't have clearance to tell us (or even know) anything

Maybe we should consider becoming more agressive with our tactics. If they are going to ignore us when we are passive then our only response should be to become firmer in our resistance.

No one else thinks it's just a bot?

No, bots deliver generic lines. This is the first time it's been outright stated that they have no plans to alter the endings. That's pretty big.

Uh, it was pretty generic in my book all the way down to "at this time". classic boilerplate stall tactic. That doesn't mean they will or won't change it. They basically said nothing to look like they were saying something.

I'm with you on this, Nageth.

I really see no reason to have a knee-jerk reaction to a one line Facebook reply when we don't even really know who is writing out those posts. As someone else said, they might have a list of acceptable replies sitting somewhere for their Facebook "admin" to post. This really doesn't change anything for me, I'm still going to keep campaigning for a change to the endings until I hear something that can be proven definitive.

Don't put too much stock in this. We're just getting warmed up. An unofficial comment -possibly by a bot no less!- is just there to try and thin the herd before this movement gets any bigger.

Don't pay any attention. Keep holding the line.

Thinning the herd=less people who will buy from Bioware

Either way the line will be held.

Come on people a facebook comment is going to destroy your resolve. At least fight until we are told directly by Mr. Hudson, Mr. Gamble, or someone who isn't a faceless worker controlling the facebook page.

Oh hai. Pissed about ending? We're listening.

We aren't doing anything about it, but we're listening.

Everyone put a dime into their swear jar and move on.

Eh dont know why this surprises anyone the "we're listening to you!" has never been anything but an empty platitude to try and outlast the outrage. I give it a less than 5% chance they change it. Their DLC will still probably sell well enough that they dont feel too pressured any future mass effect is years down the road so they probably figure that they have plenty of time to let the rage die off.

Their reply is sanitized PR BS. The reality is no one from BioWare/EA is going to come out on Facebook and admit what most of us realize - the ending sucks the life out of the series and their paying customers are pissed off. Hopefully, we will get some official, more credible response from them sooner rather than later.

Until then, Hold the Line.

Do not let this weaken our resolve. We will turn this around. We have multiple media outlets who have covered this. Everyone knows that a huge part of the fan base hates the endings and if bioware does nothing THEY know they will look really bad.

You guys crumple like wet tissue paper because of a /comment/ from a PR drone on FB. And a PR double speak non-committal one at that.

Easy there guys. Look at the other comments this "Mass Effect" have made on facebook. It really is just a bot, and Hudson pretty much made the same statement couple of days ago in different words.

You just gotta hang in there, read PR topic. =)

Bioware Master Plan engaged

Step 1: put in ending that will dissatisfy large numbers
Step 2: We will not change ending! Fans rage
Step 3: We hear you, and here is $10 DLC alternative ending! Fans rejoice

Fans cheer Bioware for customer responsiveness, Bioware profits. ;)

I think what was meant is that they don't have a plan at the moment for a new ending. Wishful thinking? Most likely. If not, well, they've decided they don't like money.

So an interesting thing just popped up on the Mass Effect Faceboook in regards to a fans message.

I'm updating this to read. This is not a final statement from Bioware. I have redited this post a couple of times now so that it isn't so misleading, it was never meant to be.

This is where we are tested. Don't stop voicing your opinions to Bioware. Yes, this hurts.. immensely, but if you just pack up and go this quickly then the line was never held to begin with. They are gathering feedback, and plans can change. Continue to boycott and send them a message.

Personally, I was feeling very hopeful and energetic until this open PR response to a fan of the franchise. I'm back to pushing.

Hold the line.
