I was doing my first batch of multiplayer today and on level 8 of a round my game hard froze and I had to do a hard reset of my PS3.
This caused all my settings to be wiped out (Brightness changes, Inverted Y Axis, etc) and all in progress achievements were reset to zero. Most upsetting was that all progress from my 48hrs 7mins completed Insanity play through we're completely wiped out. Over 1400 kills for the Veteran achievement are gone. Every counter on every Achievement has been set to 0, even on the completed Achievements. Even loading my completed Insanity play through on restores the 'Almost There' and 'Peak Condition' achievements.
I am not at all happy. Especially from the constant lack of progress in multiplayer from the game constantly falling over in multiplayer. From the 2 games I have managed to complete I received 2% and 4% Galactic Readiness which has resulted in a total of 55% Galactic Readiness. Hmmm....
Am I just supposed to do those 48 hours of gameplay again to get back to where I am now?

Damn, I had this problem with the hard freeze too. But it reset my characters and weapons in MP for a second time. I hate this bs. I've given bioware money for 3 specter packs (on PS3) at this point and nothing to show for it.

The PS3 store is used for purchases. You might be able to go into your PS3 purchases history and redownload the purchase. If that doesn't work lodge a complaint that your purchase has not been received.

I've had the same problem. My PS3 has frozen dozens of times since launch. I've never had more than an occasional freeze in other games. I've lost trophy progress twice and just last night, it froze while saving in single player and now all saves for that Shepard have completely vanished. "Luckily", I was only a few hours into the campaign, but now I'm afraid to play any more out of fear of losing progress, regardless of how many backup saves I have.
