God, no. She added absolutely *nothing* of value to Dragon Age 2. It would've been the same for ME3.

That's the whole point of it. Maybe Jessica Chobot was better suited for the role of Diana Allers, but her VA ruined that character for me. Tallis was pretty well acted, however pointless the character was...

I was more than willing to give her a chance. Afterall, James surprised me and I found him to be a likable character in the end, so why not give her a chance, right?

Then I heard her voice and just... cringed. In a game that's filled with so many amazing and talented voice actors, she stuck out like a sore thumb. Not to mention she really had no reason to be there outside of some IGN/Bioware deal. Ugh.

She really wasn't that bad, I mean she was a reporter and I don't get why people get angry about it. She was fine and if you didn't like you could kick her off.

It was a nice idea, but poorly done

I felt the time that was "wasted" on creating her could have been spent on other characters that are missing (or that only have a photo)

IGN says gaming is art, obviously they try hard to be taken seriously. Well in any other serious industry/field, having Chobot in the game would be "conflict of interest" and harmful to credibility.

I liked Diana Allers. I had no idea until you mentioned it that she was Jessica Chobot's doppleganger, largely because I don't browse IGN and didn't even know who Jessica Chobot was. Her dialogue was interesting, so I checked in with her after every mission to see what flavor text she had to offer.

I don't like her in the game, because it just adds to IGN's conflict of interest. I really didn't know she was from IGN until I came to this board. Her character was forgettable for me, nether horrible or great.
