She sort of brings back painful memories of the burned out husk of a wreck that used to be TechTV, now known as G4.

As far as her role, eh. I'll have her on the Normandy, since we need all the support for the war we can get, though her insistence is at times... irritating. But, it's for the greater good, and so I'll put on my shades and deal with it.

Plus I'm a fan of Generation Kill and Ace Combat 5, so having an embedded reporter with the team seemed like a cool shout out to those.

She was just kinda shoved into the game. I guess it helped them get IGN's support on literally everything, though. Basically Bioware ****d their game out to get a review site on their side.

Aaaah yes, "artistic integrity". We have dismissed that claim.

Didn't even know who she was before ME3, would have been better if it stayed that way so:

I would have preferred Emily Wong on-board instead but Diane Allers does very little harm. She's only indicative of the harm that gets done when providing a satisfing gaming experience is replaced by a reckless drive to monetise as many aspects of the game as possible (Day 1 DLC too). EA and BW knew they'd get positive press from IGN for less outlay than traditional advertising with this move, so they did it.

Penny wise, pound foolish.

To be fair you should add some 'average' choices.
The character was neither great nor terrible. Just kind of useless.

Indifferent. I'd have preferred Emily Wong, since, you know, she was already a journalist you'd established something of a relationship with.

Look at her in real life.  She does have very pronounced cheeks.  By that I mean on her face, not her butt which is nice but not anywhere near that big in real life.  LOL!

Never had a problem with her until I started thinking about it.

I mean, they went through all of this trouble to create a reporter character that occupies a large section of the ship and serves VERY little purpose.

They could've put those resources into putting Jack and Miranda back on the Normandy and into your squad.

Instead, we've got Jessica Chobot, which is starting to feel like blatant fanboy service based on her infamous PSP lick.

If I ever play again, she won't be boarding the Normandy.

Needs to have a "Completely indifferent" option.
She plays such a small roll in the game I really don't think its really worth wasting any rage on.

I remember suggesting a while ago that Emily Wong join the Normandy as a embedded reporter but I guess they couldn't get the voice actress or IGN was owed a favor or something.

The idea of a embedded reporter was a good one but I think it could have been carried out a little better. I didn't think Jess did a terrible job but I do wish it was more interactive with the interviews. We get asked a question or two then it faded out and the interview was more implied than actually carried out.

I'm indifferent. I thought the idea was good, the execution lacking. In particular, I was disappointed that her interviews were so short and I didn't get to actually answer any questions.

I only kept her on board because she was a war asset. Thought she was an awful voice actor with a terrible voice. Considering the role she was supposed to play, she should have had a very professional sounding and clear voice. She did not. I cringed anytime she said that battlespace nonsense. Reminded me of EA's Command and Conquer Battlecast videos (name being similar doesn't help).

they had time to put her in the game with more detail than the majority of characters, but didnt have time to think of a logical ending....?

The voice acting was 'ok' in some places and and horrendous in most. I only kept her around for those interviews and extra war assets.

I also love her chubby-cheeks baby face.

I alos love how Bioware seemed to know a lot of people would hate her in the game, and gave us the option to boot her out whenever we want.

actually i really liked the idea of having a war journalist on board the normandy... its just a shame that you actually have a few interviews but u cant see the results out of them (like the actual report video footage streaming through the extranet with some other news about the war against the reapers)... just boosts your ems score a bit... thats kinda boring

ign isnt popular in austria (at least i havent heard about them before)
when i found out who this diana was, my first reaction was just "why?"
i really cant understand why ign seems to be so popular in the us... nor do i understand why they took this girl as a reporter.

She did good for someone who isnt a professional voice actor. Didnt vote on the poll cos none of the answers suit me. I'm not going to call someone a terrible voice actor who isnt a proffesional voice actor.

Ehh, at first I thought w/e I can understand having that character. But after IGN keeps posting crap knocking fans I kicked her off the ship, can't stand those stupid chipmunk cheeks either.
