Also, I'm not an IGN fan at all.

Allers is a space **** and annoying as ****, what did they think when they dressed her like that?
But right, I could easily live with her (just never recruit her, har har), but I won't be playing ME3 again anyway (until they fix it), so meh.

Emily Wong would have been great though.

She took up VO time that could have been spent on another romance. And face-modeling that could have been used on Tali.
Finally, her character was a blatant suck-up to IGN.
Could you imagine Baldur's Gate with such a character? Or Kotor? Jade Empire? DAO?
Or Mass Effect I ?

She sort of brings back painful memories of the burned out husk of a wreck that used to be TechTV, now known as G4.
As far as her role, eh. I'll have her on the Normandy, since we need all the support for the war we can get, though her insistence is at times... irritating. But, it's for the greater good, and so I'll put on my shades and deal with it.
Plus I'm a fan of Generation Kill and Ace Combat 5, so having an embedded reporter with the team seemed like a cool shout out to those.
No offense, she was only worth 5 assest points. Not worth the irritation. But at least she was available for Shepard's pleasure. She was definately enBEDded in my game. The was dropped off at the citadel

Tali is my fav LI because her dialogue is fleshed out well. Liara is a close second.

The concept of a war journalist on the Normandy was a good idea...
...on a stealth ship running the highest-priority and most-clandestine missions that can possibly go on during the Reaper invasion, carrying the most-vital and potentially-damaging intelligence in the galaxy, that if traced by something monitoring galactic communications could lead to the fall of the entire galaxy right then and there?
Eff that. She can take her thalidomide baby chipmunk face to the SSV Kumoniwanalaya or something.
Seriously, if you turn her down even Shepard makes fun of how...stupid the idea is.

Pfft, wuss. My femship renegade infiltrator flew out to the ass end of Reaper-occupied space, rang the dinner bell a few times, then told her to get off the ship before getting the hell out of dodge. Issues with reporters indeed.
I like to think the Reapers from that point on pursued Shepard with such single-minded persistence and fervor thanks to the little "present" she left them out near Khar'shan.
