The sad thing is, when I got her I was excited. I was expecting some type of end video of her documentary with interviews with your crew and scenes of how you all saved the galaxy..... nope.

Even though she was quite basic, I wasn't annoyed by her. I thought she had few lines though.

Would rather have had the extra development time going toward adding an actual squadmate. They can't afford the time to flash back the ME2 love interests but they can use the time to create a complete throwaway character with no significance to the story and which was poorly implemented anyway? I mean, FFS, Diana Allers was on the Normandy, and I felt more of an attachment to Gianna Parasini and Shiala in ME1/2 than her.

I kept expecting her to actually, I don't know, contriubute something to the game. I got more enjoyment out of stopping random crewmembers and making them salute me then dealing with her.

the character was fine. i never knew about the whole IGN employee thing, never heard of her and I liked the char. I am used to reporters and newsreaders showing as little emotion as possible. It is what is expected of serioues news agencies in Holland so for me, her unemtional voice was a good fit.

Seriously, what's with all the polls on this site offering "TOTALLY AWESOME" and "TOTALLY CRAP" as the only two real options?

I thought she was pretty pointless, but I wouldn't go so far as to call her a "terrible voice actor".

She was average. Didn't mind her but her role also seemed a little shallow which didn't help her case.

I was exited to have a reporter on the ship because I thought it would lead to some really interesting scenes. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The interviews you did with her were ok but they were way too short and not nearly indepth enough. Also there weren't enough of them.

As for Allers herself I wasn't a fan. Her personality was bland and she was ugly as heck. Her face looked like melted plastic.

Really? She sounds and looks like discussing make-up hints on her private youtube blog or something, not someone reporting about a galaxy-wide apocalypse with billions of deaths from the front lines. Both her VA and lines in general are bad. I was very exited when I recruited her - a journalist on my ship, how cool is that going to be. Turned out they put about as much effort to it as to Tali's face. Probably did it to get better scores from ign, obviously nobody took is serious.

Well... it was more a dig at the lack of neutral options within a certain game rather than the forum, but I think it was too obtuse to be obvious.

Dislike. Augh. Jessica Chobot is a pretty girl in real life, I have no idea what that monstrosity in-game was. Also, she needs some voice lessons. Reading off a cue card and acting lines are two completely different things. The addition of her is baffling to me, I would have vastly preferred Emily Wong.

The character didn't really serve much of a point in my opinion. I don't hate the character or anything but it would have been way more fitting for the role to have been filled by Emily Wong. And I agree that her voice acting was shaky at best, though not outright terrible.

Maybe taking her out of the game would have given Bioware more RAM to let us holster our weapons? food for thought.
