Been playing ME2 again and ive noticed somthing a bit odd about the side missions, i mean alot of them seem lifeless besides loyalty missions,in the sense of npc interactions, alot of the missions involve press this button here , activate this thing here , theres no real character to them, im just trying to re-do my shep for a ME3 playthrough due to the import problem and it was somthing i noticed, its actually making this playthrough rather boring (of ME2)

i noticed this on my first playtrough, i was quite disappointed to say the least. In ME1 there where quite a deal of story to many of the side missions (not all, but alot), the battlefields were all the same though. So when i started ME2 i noticed alot less side missions, so i expected much more detail to both story and battlefields. But i found close to no story, atleast no interesting one, and the battlefields were anyways so short and linear that their "uniqness" really didn't matter.
I will soon get ME3, wonder how things are there, but between 1-2 and by far prefer ME1 side missions.

That's the thing about trilogies. They use the most in the first, the second doesn't come close to it and the third usually sucks.
