"Someone misspoke on our Mass Effect channel. We're still gathering feedback to create content that keeps it in mind. Thx 4 understanding :)"

UPDATE:

Guys this was a misinformed individual who is helping us on our social media channels during our launch period. Nothing has changed I'm terms of the feedback we're gathering. If we had made a decision regarding this matter, we would have relayed it in a formal announcement.

I'm so proud of everyone who has been participating in surveys, polls, threads that politely address concerns and the overall positive nature of our community. Don't forget that many issues people had with DA2 was directly addressed with DLC like Legacy. This is a serious matter and I promise that our leadership is hearing your feedback.

Stay the course guys. This was a mistake within our internal communications, not a leak or announcement.

I'm locking this thread to avoid further confusion.

Here is the original post she is responding about, this post has been taken off: http://imgur.com/6pPzn

The reason why this is a big deal is because every important Bioware staff member just got violently shaken in bed to wake up and calm the storm that one horrible facebook/twitter comment made. We scared them.

we're still in this fight! HOLD THE LINE

Original post: "Nothing is in the works, but we're listening"
Her post: "Well, ignore that. We're not doing anything either way, we're just listening"

I don't understand how they are different, or how they're bad.

Also, the initial thread here was locked since obviously it was based on an error. Just keep holding the line, people.

Seriously guys? That post says nothing. For all we know the original person was right on and just misspoke. Combine that with the locked main thread on the issue and they are obviously trying to directly subdue their "announcement", intentional or no. Hold the line, and spread the word.

Oldest trick in the book. C'mon Jessica, I almost pity you. Why the heck would you need to delete the post before admitting someone misspoke anyway?

 "Misspoke" is an understatement.

This was someone who obviously had knowledge of at least a portion of the mindset in the BioWare offices as of this past week.

To blatantly say "we have no plans" to do anything concerning the ending means that they will never have plans to do so.

Keeping in mind that the call is not to change the ending, or re-do it, but to add additional pathways to it. This is not a hacket job, but an addendum being called for.

And they simply don't care.

I know Jess might care, same as Jarrett or Mike or even Casey (to some extent), but this is just insulting. Please, stop acting like you're listening and taking in our feedback and then outright say "we're hearing you, but we won't do anything."

If you're listening so much or care so much, at least put the option on the table.

Thanks for clearing that up Jessica, and your point about the DA2 DLC is well-taken.

But she's still saying the same thing the facebook post said.

No plans, gathering feedback.

What difference does it make?

As I said: bad cop, good cop. Jessica has consistently been the "good cop" to the conveniently anonymous "bad cop" who runs the Twitter account. Don't fall for this.

Basically, it said that "at this time" they had no plans to change the ending.  But clearly that wasn't meant to be said.
