Stop lying, all you've been posting is how all the Retake people are psychopaths, even before the tweet. Now you take one twitter comment, where I see no mention of the Retake movement, and claim we are all terrorists. First off, you called us psychpaths for organizing to demand a better ending, now we are terrorists because of one persons stupidity? Go to hell.

On topic, she does say the same thing as thr Facebook post, but the fact they deleted the post shows that they are worried about how this is affecting their fans. Which means they do not want to lose us. That is good news.

Holy crap!!!!  I mean, yeah, the endings are frustrating and I'm not happy about them but... THIS!?!?!  There are nut jobs galore out there.  Sure, 99.9% are probably all talk but it only takes one.  And to think some of my family wonders why I own firearms and have a concealed carry permit....

But in all seriousness, it's people like that that make the whole "Video games make people violent" speech true.

I'm not a big fan of most PR people but that is just way, WAY crossing the line. Be respectful, civil, constructive, polite and above all positive. This doesn't mean we just bend over and take it, but getting aggressive or violent will get you nowhere. 99% of people here are good people, and hopefully we will not be painted with the same brush as the likes of Vince C. Mathieu.

That said, it is possible that this comment that Jessica Merizan is referring to may well mean that they never had any plans in place to change the ending originally, but they are currently formulating ideas on how best to do so should they decide to pursue this option. Although if this is the case, it means these endings were intended, which kind of sucks...understatement, of course.

Yes, BioWare is a really awesome company that really cares about what people are feeling.

They totally aren't in business to make profits, and aren't owned by a major corporation. They exist just to create wonderful experiences for us.

But seriously, yeah, I don't like the end either and I hope something is done about it and I'm glad Jess is at least responding to fans but people need to chill out.  A barely subtle threat to Jess was exceptionally uncalled for by that person on Twitter whether there was intention to carry it out or not because these days... you never know.  Threatening bodily harm over a video game?  REALLY PEOPLE?!?!?  Just...

I'm tempted to lock the game away for no less than a month or so just to let things simmer down....

I'll go back and play Fallout 3... which has a modified ending.

To be fair, a good portion of those threads start off with the same 1 paragraph explanation and intentional bad spelling.  What would actually be needed is the ability for large swaths of us to refrain from taking the bait.

You're also forgetting the now almost obligatory "I liked the endings and if you don't youre an entitled whiner".

The same threads who praise the ending typically also bash those who don't, or claim they just don't "get it".

There are some who need to be chided.  That needs to be accepted as fact.

There are also some who aren't on these boards and there's nothing we can do about them.

And some are probably out there just to make us look like idiots.

I think the vast majority here are doing pretty well with the civil discourse, and at the end of the day if ideas are pulled from anywhere they are probably going to be pulled from here.

Its the way things go usually for better or worse.  Spokespeople take the brunt of people's rage whether it be for companies or governments.  They never play any role in the actual decisions but since they are the public face they get the public's response.
