Was the problems with "DA2" actually addressed in "Legacy"? I have no idea, I never played the game.

Nope, but DA2 can be addressed with DA3 (probably won't be though).

With ME3, we have nothing to address it.

I hate that this community believes everything negative but if they see something vaguely positive like this you all go "oh they must be lying"

Jessica Merizan seems absolutely sincere about her concerns for fans. Maybe she's just extremely good at her job, but I always feel reassured by her support. Let's all calm down about this.

I <3 jessica. She is the only one trying to be good to us among a sea of bioware not caring. She calms my nerd rage.

That feel when you realize she's just putting up a front to acheive this exact result and thats the only reason they hired her.

I agree with the chill out approach.
While I'm not giving up any money until I know what bioware wants to do, I'm pretty sure that Bioware themselves are still considering what the best thing is to do here.

It hasn't really been that long since the release of Mass Effect 3. Hold the line, and be patient.

If they're still saying the same thing a month or two from now, then start panicking.

And you believe that crap?

Yup, let's keep this civil and polite, folks.

I am.  I'm stating in a very matter-of-fact way that the afore-mentioned statement is analagous to excrement with regard to its truth and quality.

I have nothing against Jessica, I know she's just doing her job, but I don't have to be polite to the message.

The both said the exact same thing.
One was direct, and the other was just beating around the bush not really saying anything.

Personally, I respect the honesty.

No, we habve no plans at the moment is a answer.

We are listening is NOT.

Merizan, I sincerely hope that you actually mean all this, and aren't just acting as the 'janitor' to this PR ****storm.

She's kind of doing both. And she does a pretty good job at what she does too, I might add (as a communication major myself).

It's obviously going to be a while until they have something to really tell us, so bunker down and hold the line. There's no reason to get fired up over every little thing. We only have to let them know that we're unhappy and that we're receptive to additional content to address our concerns.

Wow! Are you serious they really posted that? I'm speechless really, it seems unreal what Electronic Arts and Bioware are doing... I feel like we got plunged into the twilight zone.

Maybe it was the same person for the leaks that have occurred in the past - Arrival leak, Beta leak, script leak - maybe BioWare are keeping them around for now....

So Jessica had to be woken up because of some poor intern over at Facebook who doesn't know his/her PR. The good news is that this shows they are watching the forums round the clock and are definitely concerned about our responses.

Her post: "Well, ignore that. We're not doing anything either way, we're just listening"

I don't understand how they are different, or how they're bad.

One is "We are not even thinking of doing it" and the other is basicly "We can neither confirm or deny"

"They told us they can neither confirm or deny, which is a confirmation of sorts" - Shooter

That's not the community. That's called being human.

That's just how we are.

Hold the line and be civil, there's no reason to yell at Jessica Merizan over twitter, that's not the way to get things done.

Please, we may be upset but let's try to have sympathy for this woman who had nothing to do with the ending and is only doing her job, and extremely well.

People, as much as it may not seem like it, mistakes if nothing else indicate that nothing definitive has been settled.

This is the wrong time to go about speculating on every motive of every misstep.  This is the time when resolve is sharpened.

You don't just break ranks and go all half-cocked.  We must maintain our civility and resolve even in the case of non definitive answers, and if they make a mistake we must recognize that it could've been a mistake and nothing was meant by the accident.

There will never be any good resolution if we can't maintain the ability to hear them out.  That doesn't mean we have to accept what was said, but we have to at least be willing to listen while they are speaking.

It was a PR mistep, nothing more.  Even if it was a trial balloon, it was a trial balloon that got shot down.  Either/or matters not, what does matter is holding the line and being civil about it.

JM:

Stay the course guys. This was a mistake within our internal communications, not a leak or announcement.

It actually sounds like she's pulling for us. I suppose she is the community manager and should probably be able to relate better than most in the company. Or of course it could just be PR. We'll see.
