Or so I'm told. I can't play single player or multiplayer due to a loading screen that lasts forever (it says Checking downloadable content and doesn't get any further) and prevents access to the main menu. I have been consistently getting this error for the past hour and it's getting really, really annoying. I want to be able to join my friends on Multiplayer and start killing brutes but I can't. Please Help.

Ditto. Kind of sad... especially because I keep seeing invites from friends who are playing... rebooted routers/modem to no avail. No settings have changed either.

Me too, I was in the middle of a match then I lost connection to the server, it won't let me connect to it anymore. I just keep getting that annoying message 'checking downloadable content' displaying on my screen.

Since we cant participate in the community event, we should all get the weapons as a condolence.

I managed to get rid of the checking DLC message and even connect to the server. But when I select the multiplayer option nothing happens...
EDIT: nvm, it just boote me out of the server again <_<

Rather have connection issues than get credits or level resets :/

If server maintenance is causing this, then a message would have been nice.

Truth. I can't help but wonder why only us? I have a friend who lives 20 min from me who's on and playing...
or is it just a matter of time until he gets kicked

You should be able to still play single player. The screen tries to connect to the server but you can still move up and down on the menu list. I just started my second playthrough waiting for servers.

Originally, I was having that other problem where I didn't gain credits or experience from multiplayer matches. I even leveled up once, only to have that level stripped away before the next game.
So I decided to restart my console, and when I reached the main menu, this happened. I cannot connect to the EA servers, and I just receive this perpetual "Checking downloadable content..." message.
I tried a different game (Mass Effect 2), and I was able to connect to the EA servers with no difficulty.
Regardless, it appears many people are having the same problems, and I can only assume that it is a problem with the EA servers right now. Perhaps it is related to the challenge that was going on this weekend.
It would be very nice to at least get some kind of word from BioWare or EA on the status of this issue.

For thoses of you who don't know this is regarding the weekend challenge killing 1 million brutes if the goal is met you will receive a pack regardless if you didn't participate. It's possible bioware is having problems at the moment give them time be aware this is there first Xbox game that has the Muiltiplayer feature before it was just a small connection to there news feed or something

Both of the problems appear to have corrected themselves for me.
