Is there any advantage to persuading Ser Landry not to duel you in the Denerim marketplace? Killing him gets you a fairly decent mace, but trying to convince him Loghain is lying just has him walking off, and it doesn't even sound like he believed you. But, I my character is trying to convince as many people of Loghain's treachery as possible, and I don't like just leaving people who might listen to reason face down in the dirt.
So, do you ever run into him again, or anything?

You'll meet him again while you travel around Denerim.

I had tier 2 coercion, and I noticed Ser Landry gave me a different answer from my previous playthrough. Therefore, I'm not sure you'll get him not to fight you. I had hoped not to fight him, too. I don't think that can happen though.

Yeah you can get him to walk away, you need decent coercion though.
If you choose the option to do with Loghain being a traitor then you can get a second Persuade option which is something like " if you're wrong then you're killing an innocent ". He wanders off after that.

I've only fought him once. First two times, I persuaded him to leave. 3rd time I thought it was time to finally gut this turkey.

And by satisfaction he means that he wants to commit suicide via Grey Warden. Who am I to deny him the mercy he seeks? I say let him have his satisfaction everytime.
