What are your favorite little story/lore things from previous games that could have been included in the game somehow but were never explored?

I have 2: the gas giant Ploba's "Deep Anomalies" intrigued me. People figured out there were huge objects inside the gas giant that were too regular in pattern to be anything natural, but no one was ever able to figure out what the "deep anomalies" were.

Also, the planet Klencory's supposed "beings of light." A volus billionaire claimed the planet and hired an army of mercenaries to help him try to excavate the lost crypts of "beings of light" he had a vision about being around in order to protect the galaxy from "synthetic machine devils." I was kinda surprised when nothing came of that, as it sounded like an obvious Reaper-related thing.

Also there was some other random planet (can't remember name) that had strange light patterns on its dark side or something, but when people went to investigate they were gone...

Little things like that, I know were probably just meant to add a layer of complexity and mystery to the galaxy, like giving us a sense that there's still always more out there we don't know, but I still would have liked to see incorporated somehow into the story.

Anyone else have any little things like that they had hoped would be expanded on, or just thought were intriguing?

I always did kinda expect the whole beings of light volus thing to come to fruition or at least be mentioned in some way.

While the developers tied in some ME2 teammates well in ME3, like Miranda's dad, Samara's daughters, Thane's last fight, I was kind of disappointed in Grunt's development. He was the perfect krogan, the only hope, I was expecting him to be somehow different than the others, and not just physically.

There were two planets, one I think was in the Firewalker mission set, where geth were using terraforming that I really wanted explanations for. And obviously anything related to the dark energy plot would have been nice.

I forgot about the Geth terraforming shenanigans! Yeah, the geth really seemed to be up to/ on to something there.

Yeah, when Mordin needed male tissue for the cure I was really hoping we were going to go grab Grunt and truck him around for a while.

I expected a closure for the prothean vision you unlock with the Consort´s pressent. It was supposedly a flag carried from ME1 that never got developed.

Stars were dying in ME2, I wondered about that, and I was hoping that prothean vision from 1 and prothean sphere from 2 were leading to something.

I was interested in the Leviathan of Dis. I thought if anything from the first game were to be introduced as a means to fight/defeat/learn about the reapers, it would be that. The deep anomalies also had me very interested.

Sidonis, what a waste of a character to not explain his story.

I was interested in the Leviathan of Dis.

Same here... Seems like something that would have been just as big of a deal to try and study more of besides the prothean stuff.

This is mentioned in ME3 if you did Bring Down the Sky in ME1 and did not kill Balak.

The Leviathan was a reaper, it indoctrinated many Batarians, this is why the Reapers steamrolled them.

Turns out it was a Reaper.

Forgot about the Leviathan of Dis. At first I thought it might be an actual reaper, perhaps a dead one like the one that got blasted at Klendagon.

Speaking of which, there's another one...we never learn how exactly that reaper in ME2 was killed in one shot. When I first heard about the Crucible, I thought maybe the Crucible had somehow been used to kill that Reaper but it broke or something...

That is actually covered. Balak tells that it was a reaper, the batarians reactivated it and wiped out the Hegemony from the inside.

Beings of light, Jupiter brain, and the Leviathan of Dis (just retconned into being a Reaper).
