Remake the whole story line?
Are you retarded? If not, kill yourself.

Save money on graphics. Do a 16 bit Chrono Trigger overhead semi real time rpg. Also use the tabletop rpg Exalted action system. Creates penalty time for action bar based on previous action. Add movement option in combat phase. Then you can put all the time you want into story and character development you want.

This is an ideal way to slove the whole problem, but impossible, too---
I want Thane back, and Miranda.

Thane yes. Miranda hell no. She's hot but for f*** sake is she annoying. I love the game's story and ending, but I do think it would be cool if they released a parallel version of ME1-3 where you could be pure Renegade and pure Paragon. Not just a jerk or a goody-good. Like in Arrival you could figure out a way to preserve the Batarian colonies if you were Paragon (Shepard can do anything, lets be serious) and if you were Renegade, turn around and blow someone away (regardless of who) like Miranda or Hackett. I mean be truly angelic or just hellishly awful. Ally with the Reapers or something.

Dave your usually a reasonable person, but why the *entire* story line? From the general reaction (and my own) the game was great until the last five minuets. Changing the endings is one thing, but the whole game is another. Unless I've minunderstood you.

It is because we all need to get lives. Non-troll-like basement dwelling lives. Until then, we fight for games to fulfill their promises.

SIGH. It's true.

Errm.... I have a huge passion for video games... but I wouldn't call my self that. Infact, I'm the polar opposite of that

I'd rather just have DLC that fixes that mess with the Normandy.

I thought they already did remake the entire story line... when they blew a bunch of plot holes in it with the regular ending.

I think the OP is fooling everyone. I think he is mocking people that want to change the ending and going to extremes by saying it's reasonable to change the entire game.

DON'T TAKE THE BAIT!!!

Dave is a pretty crafty guy but... hmmm maybe

I'm not demanding anything of BioWare. Not my money back nor a new ending, since I accept the risk of purchase. I don't think BioWare can fix the ending quickly nor well enough at this point after I've played all three games. Even if there was a DLC 'good' ending, it's likely that would splinter people (or should I say polarize?) into a wide spectrum of opinion as does the existing ending. We're not likely to be presented the truth over the ending anyway and even knowing it, won't satisfy the discontented. Discovering the 'true' ending will only be useful to those who haven't played ME 3 yet or maybe 'fun' a few years from now if I should dust it off for another run and discover it's been 'fixed'.

I'll just 'god-child' my own endings to suit my characters and fill in the plot holes. Wish everyone well and move on.

So, another 2-3 years development just to remake the entire storyline, horrible investment, casual players will just push it aside.

Both Witchers were revised. I see no reason why ME3 cannot be redone. It would be a good PR move. Not so good for EA shareholders so doubtful it will happen unless it can be monetized (DLC).

Do you have any idea how much it costs to create a AAA game? BioWare and EA would lose a fo- ohhhhhhh, I see, you want them to go out of business.

Remake the whole game? Yeah, pigs fly.

Anyway I'm a good few hours into the game and I actually like the story so far!

Apparently it's this ending that people despise. I'll be sure to have low expectations when I get to it.

Why won't we DEMAND they remake the entire series from scratch?

Yeah let's do this! Let's RETAKE THE WHOLE MASS EFFECT!

Like most people's reactions to the ending, I feel the entire script has done nothing but disappoint. It has left the Mass Effect fan in me from the first two games with a sense of unfulfillment as the entire game disregards my choices to force me into a single plothole filled narrative which the writers created for themselves, rather than for the player and the trilogy.

I have great difficulty in replaying Mass Effect 1 and 2 knowing that Mass Effect 3's entire experience lies waiting, what's the point of playing the two original games if that's what I'm forced to look foward to? The game promised choices would have impact and the like, yet all that changes is a line of dialogue and an edited asset value which does absolutely nothing. That's probably more offensive than a different colour.

I'd gladly pay 59.99 or more for a completely remade storyline, one which involves the promises which the series seeked to achieve. It's hurtful to have experience the entire game only to reach the end and see the entire narrative crash and burn like the child from the intro.

My pro-Human Cerberus Operative Shepard demands satisfaction, just like all other Shepards who've been removed in order to create the writer's Shepard in ME3.

Hold the line.

this is why we need a PRO CERBERUS DLC.

To OP, That would be .... INSANE!

ME 3 is great, and frankly despite some small (and not so small flaws) I rate it 10 out of 10 until the ending.

On the other hand an entirely different story line would be insane.

Maybe a more conventional aspect to the war that ME 3 is lacking. No crucible, just you and whatever hard decisions you can live with.

Can you imagine if you had your trial right after arrival? Then, (depending on your choices and your persuasion level) you could take action. Like evacuate Kar'Shan and then leave a Dreadnought behind to blow the Mass Relay when the Reapers arrive in the system. Or later on if the Reapers attack the Citadel, YOU decide if the people get evacuated at the cost of losing ships and soldiers. Or maybe you can have a (secret) alliance with Cerberus to make sure that if all else fails the Reapers get stopped.

Insane.

Remake the whole game? I understand it didn't meet your expectations but that's just ridiculous.

OP isn't actually expecting them to remake the entire game; you all know that, right? He's simply saying that his disappointment with ME3 as a whole is no different than most of our disappointment with the ending, while making a point that trying to get them to remake the ending is absurd in the same way that trying to get them to remake the entire game would be. And while I may not agree with him, I see where he's coming from.

Yeah, from Eden Prime, that would be the best.
Or better, even before Normandy SR1 hitting the first relay in the prologue of ME1!
And add bunnies.
There were no bunnies in the game.
I like bunnies.
I was sad.
