1) Persuade/Intimidate needs to come back
2) Keep the friendship/rivalry system, but maybe change rivalry from being red to something else so that people don't think its bad.
3) I like the Origins system, but if that's too much, I'd be fine with Mass Effect style Origins
4) I would love to play as an elf again.
5) I get that everyone being bisexual is the most fair thing, but I would prefer some strictly straight or strictly gay characters, even if that meant I only got 1 romance option. It's more realistic that way.
6) The specializations you pick (blood mage, templar, assasin) would have an effect on story. Even if its just the occasional dialogue line, but I'm sick of my companions always raging about blood mages while I stab myself in front of them on a daily basis.

From DA:O

1) Multiple Origins and Race options for Protagonist
2) Non-Combat Skills (Stealth, Coercion, and Stealing)
3) Companion Customization
4) Meaningful Choices and a better Epilogue/Ending
5) Darkspawn Design
6) Fewer class Restrictions on Weapons

From DA2

1) Faster Combat (Minus Waves of Enemies and Teleporting Enemies)
2) Elf and Kossith/Qunari designs
3) Talent Trees
4) Voiced Protagonist
5) Crafting and Resource Collecting

I would also like to see a more realistic graphics engine.

I also want more specializations and weapon styles:
Possibly adding these types of specializations:
Warrior: Archer Specialization (can equip Crossbows and Shields)
Rogue: Fencer Specialization (can equip Fencing Swords [New Type of Weapon]) and Ranger specialization
Mage: Arcane Warrior (can equip Swords, Shields, and maybe "Spell Blades" [New Type of Weapon])

I think the Male models are too wide and muscular. Make them thinner. Wimps are cool.

I second this! I wanted to create a flimsy male mage who was the Champion of Kirkwall, except that wasn't an option... :crying:

Also! I wanted to add two other things to my list.

The first is about dialogue, or specifically, how the dialogue needs to reflect the relationship, like in DA:O where my LI would actually call me differently, address me differently and stuff. I liked being able to click on them and just hear them say the same thing over and over again. Still, I did like the cut scenes with the various characters in DA2, but I really liked how it was in DA:O, so if it could be integrated back in, that'd be great.

And the second one is kind of weird, most likely impossible and sort of useless... but I thought it sounded cool in my head. xD I thought it would be cool to see weather in DA3, and have it affect combat. So, if it was raining, then mages would have difficulty with fire spells, but would find ice spells a lot easier since water is abundant. And warriors would have a harder time moving around with all the armor wearing them down in the water, whereas rogues could use the rain as cover and be faster or something.

Mind, this is all something I thought of when I was writing a DA:O fanfic and realized the weather never changed throughout our year as the Warden in DA:O. I mean, I didn't even know there were seasons, let alone a year passing until I played DA2. So, just some food for thought. ^_^ I'll add to this list if I think of more things. =]

Absolutely!  I too want multiple playable races back in DA3 :)  That and, as others have mentioned here, a game and story that was given the time it needed to be great.

I do personally favor the Origins design for elves, myself.

I would like two things:

1. That the romances are more like DA Origins than DA2. I loved Alistair's romance, how you could talk to him anytime about things and flirt with him, or choose to kiss him. It felt like a real relationship, so much that it actually hurt when he dumped my character. I did not like how in DA2 you had to wait until the next segment or "act" of the storyline passed before you could continue to build your relationship with whoever you were romancing. That didn't seem realistic to me. DAO relationships felt much more natural to me.

2. Don't make everyone bisexual. That's not realistic to life, and it kind of ruined immersion for me. If I play a female and I'm attracted to a female character who isn't bisexual or gay, I would prefer to try flirting with her, only to be let down with a line like, "Hey, I like you as a friend, but I don't swing that way, sorry." I thought it was much better in DAO where you could choose to be bisexual with Leliana or Zevran, or to choose to be in a straight relationship with Alistair or Morrigan. Maybe take a page out of ME3 and have one purely homosexual character for each gender, to even out the romance options.

Patch 1.03 on PC made the game too easy for some players. Not for me of course but I can still play on Normal.

My Dragon Age III wish list:

From Dragon Age: Origins:
  • The return of the Origins. I liked these little vingetts. They were a great way to introduce the player to the storyline and get a feel for the game.
  • Multiple playable races: I liked how the difference in race affected dialogue in the game. This was a huge plus for immerision into the game's world.
  • Deathblows: I loved these in Origins. It always made me feel great to see one of my party take down an oger in slow mow.
  • Large environments: The one thing, hands down, that I prefered about Origins when compared to DAII, was the variety of environments. Orzammar, the Deep Roads, the Fade, Denerim, the Bracillian Woods, etc. These places had character and were memerable. In DAII we had different locals sure, but they were fewer in number and we visited them with such frequency that they quickly grew to be boring and bland.
From Dragon Age II:
  • Voiced Protagonist: I know this is a debated issue in the Dragon Age fan community but I actually enjoy having a voiced protagonist. To me it helps further suspend my disbelief in the world when I can actually hear my character speak their opinions and beliefs instead of standing there in stoic silence.
  • The Friendship vs. Rivalry meter: This was genius. Despite how much I loved Origins I could not stand that approval meter and how it fluctuated all the time. I get that your companions might not always agree with you, but it was infuriating how sometimes it seemed more arbitray than an actual difference in opinion. The decision to instead have a Friendship or Rivalry with your companions to me felt much more belivable and understanding. Keep this.
  • Blood Magic: I felt that the blood mage abilitis in DAII were much more effective than in Origins. In the first DA the only two abilities worth getting were the last two in the talent tree. Meanwhile in DAII pretty much all of the abilites were more or less effective.
  • Graphics: Excluding Alistair and Tegan's 'update', I felt the graphics and style in DAII were a huge improvement over Origins.
  • Resources: I loved the way that resources and crafting were handled in DAII. I hated in Origins how I had to invest feats in certain skills to be able to craft poultices and runes.
Other:
  • Party members: I'd like to see a more diversified cast of companions. A Qunari of some kind would be great! Tal Vashoth or just a regular follower of the Qun. After that our regular suspects of elf, dwarf, human, etc.
  • The Tevinter Imperium: We've had two games now were we've heard about this great decaying empire, I'd like to actually see it in some compacity.
  • More impact of previous decisions: I'd like to hear about the state of things in Orzammar as well as how Alistair is handeling Ferelden. Now by this I mean more than a small cameo 2/3 of the way through the game. I liked the way Mass Effect 3 handeled this with Wrex. Bring them back as an advisory role during a series of quests, maybe even have them as a temporary controllable party memeber during this time (Talilis from Mark of the Assassin is a great example)

I like this idea!  It would be nice to have the opportunity to just hang out with the companions outside of party camp.  Or even, and this is wishful thinking, a "date" scenario would be nice, which I believe other gamers have already suggested on BSN.  It would be nice for your character to be able to go to dinner with their love interest, or something like that.  A bit of normalcy after a day of slaying darkspawn!

Yes, agreed!  :)  It would be great to have all races as playable options in DA3.  And, of course, a game that has been given the proper time to develop rather than being rushed.  Fans will wait for a good game.

I would love to have that option! It would provide a nice contrast to playing as a circle mage or apostate.

It could finally have some fallout for being a Blood mage, as it is not uncommon in Tevinter.

I would like persuasion checks make a comeback and not to have symbols on dialogue to tell you good or bad.... I enjoyed the possibility of things being taken the wrong way and the moment when you think "oops in my head that sounded completely different"

The option for a true evil path, sick of anti-hero style renegades. Bring back the o theption to be a true villian like the days of KOTOR

Rivaini male warrior or rogue as the leading man with Bishop and Zaeed style badassery. No more Alistair or Anders style whinebots, Rivani or at least dark haired dude. Save the blonde for the ladies

Dwarf female companion and possible LI

Villains that make you hate them from start to finish

Possibility of marraige to your LI

Playable elves and dwarves

Templar/Seeker origin

More dynamic male characters. Only Varric made any kind of impact in DA2 while Flemeth, Leandra, Meredith, Cassandra, Isabela...you get it?

Third combat style. Polearms for warriors, unarmed for rogues and arcane warrior for mages

DA2 combat with Origins style epic story :)

If I take a few drinks at the bar, I'd like to get some sort of reaction.
