The ending need to be fixed for free just look at the amount of plot holes the actual ending created.
these plot holes need to be fixed for free now if they wanna add some dlc content after the plot holes have been fixed fine for them.

but we need to stop setteling for crap if we bow down and buy a DLC only to fix what they broke we are basicaly saying it's alright put out crap and then have me pay so you fix what you did wrong.

EDIT just something i found browsing this forum it might give you more into why they need to do it for free www.youtube.com/watch

EDIT: i just created a poll to voice your opinions so we can have number http://social.biowar...48/polls/30035/

given the resources that would go into fixing the ending. it is unreasonable to expect them to fix it and ask nothing in return

While I agree they SHOULD give it to us for free.

Will they... I would not bet on it. I expect that it will be something like Broken Steel. We will have to pay for it, but I do hope that it is free.

They aren't listening and are blinded by their own pride. If they did make a new ending dlc they would charge a premium for it because in their eyes their current ending is a masterpiece and their fans just don't get it.

whether free or not, I will buy it. I can't let 10 dollars get in the way of saving Mass Effect for me.

thats why I say people here should be satisfied with post-ending dlc, but not be happy about it.

Hell yeah.
Screw paying the voice actors, artists, composers, and everyone else who would work on it.

it would make sure we come back at them as consumer

and hell you wanna have me cry over the god damned millions they made by rushing a sub par game that had plot holes sable to swallow a god damn complete harm of the galaxy?

even if they have to work a freaking complete years without having anything new to sell us they still made more money then it would cost them with the 3.6 million copies

also the simple amount of fall back from the good publicity the fix would bring should be enough to cover the fees from new copies bought

I actually prefer it was not free. If it was free, you can guess what ending we would get >_>

They made the mistake of creating a terrible ending that was nothing like what they advertised - if the consumer has to pay for the developer to fix it's own mistakes, the consumer is being duped. Mass effect 3 deserves to die before it deserves to have more money thrown at it until they do right by us and provide a proper ending. I will not support bad business practices by paying for the ending. If they create a suitable ending and deliver it free of charge, I will then consider buying any DLC/new games from EA, until then I won't. Simple enough.

On the contrary, it should never have been released as it was. Now that its come out that it was indeed intended to be the big finish and everyone was meant to go quietly into the night - the flaws in technical work and story are glaringly obvious.

It is an incomplete product.

I absolutely do not agree.  Free endings would mean "cheap" endings...  Let me pay for it and give me  something AMAZING! :o

But if not free, I don't trust the developers will make any good series anymore.

Bioware doesn't "owe" us anything persay. We are pleading with them incessantly in order to get it done. IF they did release an alternate ending dlc for free, that'd be a great gesture on their part. But i doubt it'll be free.

A paid DLC will be far bigger and have far more content and effort put into it than one they're going to make a 100% loss on by giving out for free.

I don't want to pay for something I was promised in the first place and didn't receive, but I'd rather pay for top quality and a full fix than be given the minimum they can spare that just polishes the turd for free.

It's true NO developer could possibely afford something like that.

Hmm, there was something..... oh yeah, what about CD Project RED who give you 4 additional hours of gameplay in the Witcher 2 for free, because fans weren't satisfied with the length of the last chapter? Its not like they are a juggernaut with unlimited ressources either.

They have just finished colossal work. They are not supposed to continue working anymore for free(even if their finished product sucks in some way).

As for me - I do not care if it's paid or not. My favourite series has been spoiled. I beg them to fix it. I'm gonna pay if they do.

I don't think there is any chance of them significantly altering what they are claiming is a finished product for free.

Yes. This is exactly what we need to do.

When we've already bought the game and have just about zero leverage with which to make demands, we should stand strong and demand that Bioware/EA pool their resources to give us free stuff. Compromising and offering to pay a small amount in order to justify them fixing our bad ending is just way beyond reasonable.

Get off your high horses, people. Making demands "for free" will earn us nothing. You already bought the product, and the suits already know that our threats of boycotting are almost guaranteed to be empty in the majority of the fan population. Instead, let's make more specific appeals for what we want, and how much we're actually willing to pay. Because, let's face it, if it happens we WILL have to pay for it. They can't possibly call in all the talent they need and not charge.
