If this ever came to pass, I'd have to find a new hobby.

And EA always wonders why people think of them as greedy corporate bastards. John Riccitiello is a big part of the reason why EA has the bad reputation among gamers that it does.

That's ridiculous. 1$ to RELOAD?! in BF3? Is he crazy? Micro transactions work when they aren't forced. Meaning you don't restrict parts of the game to force those transactions. You ADD content (that is not necessary but fun) and use those as micro transaction fodder. Maybe like a new hat, or double xp for an hour, or maybe increased speed of skill training.

I would completely stop gaming if gaming companies did this.
People are begging EA/Bioware to do this to them on this board.
Asking for better endings is different than asking to pay 1 dolar per reload. Stop exaggerating.
No, the one who was exaggerating was the EA CEO using the 1 dollar per reload to illustrate his general point,. It's not an exaggeration to point out that what he is talking about tin that video is happening now. Everyone is so heavily invested in the story we are now willing to let EA nickle and dime us with whatever.

And suddenly I remembered something....
EA's CEO talks industry consolidation, bloated budgets and the threat to creativity:

especially paragraph 7
hold the line ... or better not?

Serious brofist. I so hope they realize the potential in making a Masters of Orion-style grand strategy game.
They have put out some annoying DLC tho. Old Vic was the worst thing they ever did.
Here's hoping that they expand some of the new mechanics in AHD.
