Here's the deal. I'm planning on buying the Asian version of the game, since the game costs about twice as much in Germany, but first I need to know whether or not the game is compatible with the European or US DLC.

I'd appreciate it if you could help me out.

Compatibility will be a major issue! If you get the Asian version, then you will have to get your DLCs from the psn store of that specific country. E.g.: you go out and buy a Hong Kong Collector's Edition... you will then have to download all of your DLCs through the Hong Kong psn store.

Furthermore, if you want your player profiles to be uploaded to this site, you will have to play the game using the psn id of the country where you bought your copy of DAO.

I would recommend getting an US/UK copy of the game. Keeping possible future DLCs in mind, you won't run into any trouble charging your US/UK account with psn cash that way. Finding a store that offers Hong Kong psn cash can be a pain...

Ok, thanks for the reply. You saved me from a lot of unwanted hassle in the future.

Could you elaborate on the uploadable player profile? Are they just stats I can put up to compare them with other players? If that's the case, I don't mind if I can't upload them. I have several PSN accounts, but I play all my games on my EU account.

The player profiles will basically provide you with a summary of all of your chars and stats, while also enabling you to compare yourself to other players - a lot like the Armory on World of Warcraft. It's a neat feature to have, but definitely not a necessity.
