... Clever? Throwing out the entire lore of your universe, inventing a "space magic" ending that has no place within the established canon is not clever. It's bad writing.

Now if he truly liked the ending, that's up to him, but in the comments it's pretty clear that he has no interest in having any discussion about this. So it's hard to respect him when his only argument is, "It's clever, you're a bunch of crybabies."

Oh but we should.
Ask yourself why is it not enough for them to like the ending? Why must they deride everyone who doesn't, and automatically assume we don't understand?
Because in the end they're trying to reassure themselves, reassure themselves of their own superior intelligence and that they really do like the game. It's a manufactured justification.

the ending was the biggest piece of **** copout ever. You dont go from a game world like mass effect and then last minute add in deus ex machina because your too ****ing lazy to write a real ending it wasn't anything but terrible. Shepard is not a god they are just a normal person trying to do impossible things.

It is a bit of a double standard, don't you think, to suggest, request, and demand change so the game fits what you want the game to be, and then turn around and make fun of or belittle those who disagree with you?

Play nice, please.

You're joking, right?

Were expecting people to respect our views in requesting an 'extended' ending, so we need to be respectful of others views too.

Hold the Line...

I love the ending, but even I don't think it was particularly clever, because it's the only way it could have ended.

About as clever as a dog playing the piano is.

SO now anyone who liked the overall theme of the ending is a troll? Really helping your cause people.

nope. The fact that he disagrees, and calls us trolls for hating the ending, (in his Mass Effect WTF videos) and the fact that he refuses to even acknowlege our points. If he asks for our opinions and doesnt even bother to respond to them, and calls us trolls, damn right i'm gonna call him a troll.

you're being so much better then him apparently.

If Mass Effect endings are clever, then so are these:

If Lord of the Rings ended like Mass Effect 3

If Ghostbusters ended like Mass Effect 3

BWAHAHAHAHA.

Awesome!

Well, it cant be called clever to begin with when taking notice of all those monstrous plotholes in the story. MAYBE... MAYBE i could eventually dare to call it clever if those weren´t their but even then i would think we derserved better.

The same way Bioware hype something as much (ex: multiple ending not a,b,c) as possible 2 week before release and then deliver exactly the opposite? Then blame customer for not understanding? I guess anything is good for money.

It is usually best not to comment on something that is affecting you first.

Fair enough, you like it. But just think about the implications. You brought peace by..

1) Obeying the Reapers and killing the Geth (ironic avatar/name if you did that)
2) Obeying the Reapers and becoming head Reaper
3) Obeying the Reapers and using magic to make everyone hybrids

Not a single one of these options bring actual peace, given that all the relays are destroyed.

The biggest issue with the ending, for me anyways, is that there is no closure. If the ending had closure, I'd be completely fine with it.

Yes I see what you're doing here.

We both know the significant majority of fans requesting change are going about it in a constructive manner.

Is it really so strange to see some sarcastic remarks to an outlet that brands them as a "whiny hivemind" and such?

Play nice works both ways.

I agree we should all remain civil and respectful of other people's views. People on both sides have been at fault, but I have to say percentage-wise pro ending posts seem to be a lot more negative than those that are unhappy with the endings.

I think it's what should be rather thant 'what you want to be'. Game deserves better ending. Also we are just in our self defense, cuz this so called 'ending lovers' are looking and treating us 'vocal majority' as if we are some whnning kids crying over toys.

Please Mr. Woo, everything we are doing here is to save our, and your, precious ME franchise.
