I completely understand why you like the endings, I look forward to beating it a third time so I can see the pretty blue explosion this time. I already saw the green and red ones. They were so pretty, and then I saw Deus Ex's ending all over again. God it's been like over a decade since I was presented with those three choices. Mostly I liked the red explosion though, it was the prettiest and left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Plus the Normandy reminded me of Gilligan's Island, so funny B)

*takes your post and throws it into the wastebasket like the last one*

But, bro! We're the aggressive, rude, insulting, and stupid ones. Not them. We fling all the names and rude words. Not them. Hold the line. Berate people who are different.

*chuckle*

You forgot the best part, people who don't mind the endings are paid to like them by EA. I hope EA doesn't forget to sent out W-2 at the end of year, woun;t want INS to get the wind of this exciting work from home opportunity.

Bahaha! How could I forget!

The irony of people calling others ignorant because they don't agree with your opinion. This reaction is a clear reminder of the false sense of entitlement the vocal "fans" believe they have. It saddens me that you lot consider yourselves intelligent because you didn't like an ending and have whinged enough that something will be done about it. This is Bioware's game, they can end it however they want and they certainly don't owe you anything. You are all just customers.

I for one will be boycotting EA/Bioware games from now simply because I don't like their business strategy and the influence they have on games these days however you all need to sit down and have real long hard think about your behaviour and reaction.

I wouldnt call people stupid, just because they liked the endings. People have differing opinions, and their opinion is just as valid as yours, or as mine, or as someone elses. No wonder people think we're whining.

I will not insult anyone. But...

Believe this, It is barely even possible for a long-time invested fan of the series to be satisfied with the ending in any way, shape or form. A lot of these people are first time players. You know that.

-----------------------------------------------------

How can one possibly be satisfied with Shepards crew running away when he was half-dead, bleeding and limping the last few yards in pain to save them.

How can one accept the Reapers being reduced to mindless husks by a character only introduced the for the first time during the very last minutes of the entire trilogy.

How can one ignore the glaring plotholes and overall senselessness?

And finally, why do we deserve this after all our support?

I've been seeing a lot of people like the endings of Mass effect 3. I have to wonder though, are they really big fans of the series or have they just picked up the latest one and put "action mode" or whatever on. Because the ending makes no sense... at all, and goes against the lore established by previous mass effect games and dlc. Are these people just ****s, or simply ignorant? Every time they say they like the ending they never give a reason why. Is it the fact that it was ripped straight from Deus Ex 1. Or the fact that it creates 10 plotholes, or the fact that it goes against the whole purpose of the series where you collect forces to stop the Reapers only to make the collection of those forces pointless since we all get 98% the same ending.

I am seriously so confused, how can people be so stupid? Have they not finished the game?

EDIT: I'm wondering if all the people who finished the game first were mostly series fans, whereas now we are seeing a bunch of first time fans finishing the game weeks later?

Probably your edit. People less invested are going to care less in general and be alright with pretty much whatever is thrown at them, although I disagree with you saying everyone that likes the end is stupid. They just don't care much about video games.

Did Marauder Shields sacrifice himself for nothing? He tried to save us from the endings. Don't demean his heroic bravery in the face of overwhelming odds. EA and their greed for money and the continuation of the Franchise ultimately overhwhelmed him :crying:. That brave brave soul.

I am a long time fan of the series, I have 7 shepard saves from the first two games on xbox, and I like the ending. Please don't make generalizations or assumptions.

How many playthroughs do you have? How many completionist. How many hours? How many times have you read the books/comics? How much EU research have you done? How many EU communities are you a part of? I've been with this game from the day it was announced.

How do you call me a first timer?

I think the main difference between the "haters" and the "likers" is this;
"Ending likers" just play the game for the action. No time to think about stuff, just play through and go back to #insert any COD-title here".
"Ending haters" reflect on what they are experiencing, read the codex, play the game with lore in mind. "Ending haters" take a part in the wonderful world.

Thats what I think, anyway.

Hold the line!

PS. I have been a huge Bioware fan and I really enjoy the ME series. But if this isn't fixed I really don't think I'll buy more Bioware titles... Tragic really.

You're wrong in this.

I loved the ending and I'm not in it for the action. I'm an RPG kind of girl, I like getting into my stories. And I enjoyed the ending and the game as a whole because I thought they did a good job at explaining and giving closure. That's for me, at least.

I wonder if the mass complaints will cause EA to lean on bioware and force them to redo the ending to be popular with the majority of players.

Doubtful. I'm pretty sure they're going to stick with their "We like the endings we made, and we have no plans on changing them"

I'd go so far to say it's the opposite of what anti-ending people may be projecting. A lot of the people calling us action mode first timers seem to be the ones who invest more time in the characters and less in the actual universe of the series.

I woudln't be so sure. www.facebook.com/masseffect/posts/275243029217754

The above seem to imply original post was along the lines "we are not changing endings" while most recent opens up more room. I really wouldn't be surprised if they do cave in to "popular" demand and produce some sugary sweet nectar that so many seem to crave. Kinda bracing myself for it to be honest :/

While I like the endings I'm still intrigued at what kind of DLC will be released and will still get it, if they make other alternate endings I think that would be cool to have, just make a different path to get to a different ending and there will be more branching endings. So yeah I'm not against ending changes like I was when this started because now I'm interested in seeing what other directions the writers could take it in.

So much this. This is why I hang out in theory threads. Just because I like the endings doesn't mean I'd be opposed to altercations or more of them. :3

Honestly, and I'm not meaning to sound any other way. I hope they don't give them anything, honestly. Because that would give gamers a false sense of entitlement to change anything in a game they don't like, which would ruin gaming as we know it.

To make it short.

They introduced a new Character called Space magic in the last 10 minutes, he gives you Deus Ex 1 ending choices, Gilligans Island happens to the Normandy,  creating 10 plotholes.  A Red, Green, or Blue explosion occurs, depending on your choices and which color is the prettiest for you.
