The disconnect between what they said pre-release, and what they wound up giving us, is so extreme, I still have a hard time believing it. Like they accidentally shipped the game with a joke ending, or something. :-(

If they were planed then why the heck was everyone saying in interviews that we all get different ending from the choices we make?As late as Jan we got Casey saying it won't be A B or C

There seems to be this worrying gulf in mindset between lots of us fans and the devs. I get the very honest impression that they are completely shocked at the negative reaction whereas from my side on the fence i'm completely shocked that they can't have seen the huge glaring problems with the ending.

I agree. It's hard to understand it's even the same game we're talking about.

This guy is on drugs... Reason he likes the ending is because he must be in ecstasy just by watching the PWETTY COLORS. I bet if they put him to fix the ending it's going to be a RAINBOW ending.

Eating while reading this is not recommended. My cereal now tastes like confusion and betrayal.

Not sure if a whole box of Lucky Charms could have saved you. :(

Simple. They're liars.

At first I thought that maybe this whole issue was a big conspiracy on Bioware's part to show the true dangers of indoctrination by having Shepard being indoctrinated without the player really being aware of it...in effect making the player indoctrinated!

But...maybe they went even further! Maybe...Bioware indoctrinated themselves!

As stated in , I think it was one of Hudson's big statements, they consider  "The whole game to be a series of endings.

So I'm willing to bet they consider each section that closes a plot line, like the end of Tuchanka and Rannoch, to be "part of the different endings."

Some people forget that Casey forced Mac to change a part of the ending. It's not all Mac.

That's... that's completely devoid of how people view a story, it IGNORES everything we're taught about how we write a story. Whether it is the 1st book or the 20th in a series, it always maintains that arc of narrative.

I am convinced that Mac Walters wrote an ending for another game and it got switched with the real me3 ending. (Makes about as much sense as any other theory right now)

I want to play the game with the endings he described!.... ow wait.

This sounds nothing at all like our ABC ending with plotholes, spacemagic and teleports.

I so hope there will be a DLC ending, i love mass effect :crying:

I'm sure they do. The problem is that the way it ends calls everything you did before into question.

Its not like he got him to take out the reason, logic or choice though. It's sill basically the same ending, and keeping everything would still be a huge nonsensical clustershag.

I really can't understand how blind Mac must be to what he was writing. This is the polar opposite of what we actually got, it's just baffling.

Haha, they are still proud of their ending and keep calling it "satisfactory". Do they even have internet in Canada?:o

Yes. :P Which just makes it even more sad that he would think that.

The more I read about these statements...the more I am convinced that someone knocked them out and wrote the ending. I mean all of what they said about the ending is the total opposite of the BS we got in game.....

was it bad writing or rushed development in the end game.... there were clear signs of showing that it was not at all properly executed....it felt lame after seeing Joker is fleeing

Are we sure there wasn't just a printing error and they somehow shipped out the wrong version. Because every interview I've read it seems like they're talking about a different game.

I'm sure the endings were very deliberate... that doesn't mean they weren't terrible. I'd chalk it up to poor judgement.
