Wait but my Shepard took a breath at the end when he (incomprehensibly) survived returning to Earth. I don't even unders....SPACE MAGIC.
Clearly, in addition to giving shepard the ability to breath in a vacuum, like he did for 10 whole minutes, Cerberus also installed reentry shielding when they upgraded him after his first death!

No A, B, C endings - right, we got R,G,B.
Not doing a "Lost" and leave player with unanswered questions? Normandy anyone? Fate of everybody else?
No space magic? - Hello, Synthesis option.
16 widely different endings? Oh you got them alright: http://www.justpushs...-endings-guide/
... and so on...

Does anyone else just find it impossible to get an idea of where Bioware stands in relation to us?
I can just imagine Casey, Mac, Mike and everyone else sitting around the table going. "Ok, well, turns out they didn't like the ending."
"Yeah what's up with that?"
"I thought it was a pretty good ending."
"So did I, but I guess they disagree."
"So how do we change it?"
Then Mac Walters begins to stumble. "We uhm, well... I, err... they seem to want a happy ending."
"A happy en... oh, well. That's easy. Just add a yellow option."
The worst part? Part of me feels is that this is exactly what's going to happen: because they like the ending, they misunderstand everything Retake is about, and so give us something that not only fails to solve the problem but is also something we never asked for. And then they'll call it even.
No,please,no.They should actually use the feedback BSN are giving them.
Still, would make for a good demotivational comic

I got more of a emotional response when the combined firepower of the galaxies fleets took down a few Reapers before heading down to Earth. I actually jumped out of my chair and said, "Yeah! How do you like it!"
Fast forward a hour and a half and I was sitting in my chair going, "Whaa.. da.. and the Normandy... how?"
This.
You just described how I acted the entire game. Thane's fighting, my revenge for Thane, Bioware somehow finding a way to get me to choke up about a character I didn't even care about (Mordin). Going into the ending I was excited.
Then the ending happened.
Some things just can't be unseen.

That's what I'm starting to think. The ending we got was a LOL J/K version that they made to prank the staff.goatman42 wrote...
Are we sure there wasn't just a printing error and they somehow shipped out the wrong version. Because every interview I've read it seems like they're talking about a different game.

When asked about the science of the game being plausible
'From very early on we wanted the science of the universe to be plausible. Obviously it's set in the future so you have to make some leaps of faith but we didn't want it to be just magic in space'.
Well, they did achieve the goal: it's not just magic in space, it's genuine space magic

Don't hate too hard on Mac and the writers. Don't get me wrong, I despise the ending, but it wasn't malicious on their part. These guys have worked very hard to deliver one of the most satisfying gaming experiences to us. They had things that they wanted to accomplish for the goal of the series (end Sheppard's story, break the cycles, etc.). However, they just really misfired when they attempted to execute the ending. The problem seems to be that they fell in love with the ending (for whatever reason) and gave it priority over congruence with the rest of the game and series.
It was a grave error, a serious miscalculation, but I don't think there is malicious intent on their end.
If it was not made by changing writers in the middle of the project, changing the story because of a script leak, and changing the ending because of a nonsensical deadline!
