ah jeez... not conspiracy theories.....

It's not really a wild conspiracy theory when companies have been caught doing it before.

That being said, obviously with no proof it's hard to sound credible.

This all reminds me of the occupy wall street movement; Media calling the moment "whinners" and infiltrators posing as fans

I dont know if I'd hold BioWare to that low of a standard, but it seems like it could be likely...They must be trying to break us up or something?

For some reason I read the entry in the voice of the guy who does the codex.

And let me guess, anybody who defends the ending or doesn't immediately jump on the demand a new ending bandwagon is a plant?

This is pretty routine. PR also does this on Amazon and Metacritic. Bioware did this with DA2, when employees tampered with Metacritic's numbers.

Edit: They were exposed, in this case. Most of the time, I'm sure they get away with it.

It would surprise me if they weren't doing it! Well, one thing is for sure, they are not drowning out my voice. Besides, most of them will disappear around 5 tonight when everyone starts logging on.

I wouldn't put it past them. I already had suspicions days ago about certain people here who rabidly defend the endings and throw out insults at people who hate the ending. Others I noticed demean and run down the movement. I cannot say for certain but I am suspicious of every single poster who defends the ending without addressing the plothole issues as well as those who just jump into "I LOVE ENDING" threads to play cheerleader.

Agreed completly. I've had the same thoughts on the situation.

Does it matter? They'll never be able to make a dent in the noise we're making. They would have to hire a few thousand people to do so, and good luck keeping that operation quiet.

When did they do it before?

One of their employees posted a glowing review of DA2 as a fan on Metacritic.

Well, they're still outnumbered and the picture hasn't looked any more "polarizing" as a result. Still 50+ protesters to every "saitisfied player".

Not surprised even though many will dismiss this as a conspiracy theory it has happened before.
On imdb several people that worked on a movie got caught by fans while praising a movie that pretty much got negative reviews.

Highly doubt this is true.

I wouldn't be surprised, but, do I believe it completely -- no. Either way, it won't really do much to affect the protest since a post here and there from people saying they loved the ending doesn't really do much to sway the others.

Yes, because Bioware has nothing better to do with their time than spam their own forums with pro-ending rhetoric which they know will get drowned out by the wall-of-rage that is the anti-ending movement.

Don't get me wrong; I'm sure they have private forum accounts that let them freely and stealthily read and patrol the forums and maybe even post, but I just don't think they'd bother with something like that. The pro-ending movement is outgunned 100 to 1; it'd be an utter waste of time. That's not naivete talking, just logic.

This doesn't prove anything, but we do still need to continue to be respectful to those who post here stating they like the game. Doesn't mean we have to agree with them.
