Or maybe this guy is really a plant trying to get us to tear each other apart looking for plants

for those of us who have concrete economic reasons for disliking the ending, this won't work.

Just respect other peoples opinion, stay civil, and voice your own, there is no need for witch hunts. B)

Yes I forgot about that! Thanks for mentioning it, I was just about to log off and go to bed when that popped up.
It was actually heartwarming to know they really are keeping an eye on the things, she moved fast!
Definitely deserves her paycheck!

Maybe not Bioware, but EA, I wouldn't doubt. Haven't they done stuff like this before?

Negative reputation management is as important as other sorts of PR in this day and age due to the internet. So .... well it's - possible, but until somebody gets busted, there's no real evidence on way or the other.

They're playing it from both sides, trying to see where the line breaks. HOLD IT!

I love the game, love the ending, and don't want anything changed.

Where's my paycheck?

what all of you have to remember, and what they already know, what we are doing is being discussed not only by bioware/ea but buy gamers across all genres and by all gaming companies. what we're doing may be standing up for our rights because of one particular game but it will have consequences for every company. so if you think no one is watching, you would be very, very wrong. it would not surprise to think that other companies have lurkers in here to just to keep tabs on how the unrest and the containment is going.

well considering how suddenly there are many threads appearing in the forum about "liking the ending"
and "not wanting to change it" It seems pretty plausible for this to be true

Perhaps, perhaps not. It doesn't matter. The people with the "I love the ending" threads are either:

1) BioWare
2) trolling
3) not really grasping how screwed up the ending is, regardless of which theory you believe in

In all cases their opinion is irrelevant and the best thing to do is ignore them.

Another predictable PR tactic. BioWare just keeps shooting itself in the foot by trying old tactics in the age of transparency, when they no longer work.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures...

Well if the ''supposed'' posers act like mindless drones and do not bring any real discussion to the table by insulting us...

Best we can do is ignoring them and wasting their time. It is pathetic that any employee of such a big company have enough free to do pull this kind of stunt and not actually work on a fix.

All that will accomplish is strenghten our resolve and hurt their self-respect ( if they didn't lost it all )

Companies, governments, etc do **** like that all the time.  ALL THE TIME.  So it wouldn't suprise me.

That said, since its pretty much impossible to know if its true, to what extent it might be true in this case and who the fake posters are, theres no real point in trying to do anythign about it.  Just gotta push on and ignore it.

This is to be expected and not just in the gaming industry. In education for example, if a law is passed such as a class size amendment and the school board does not like it they tell the principals and the principals tell us to talk down the amendment to whoever will listen and do not defend it. I was even instructed at one time by an administrator not to inform a parent of her right to demand her child get special help. It was her right a s a parent and very obvious her child needed the help but all the good ol boys (who were not all men btw) were threatening teachers with their job if they informed the parents.

Underhanded tactics exist wherever there is any kind of bureaucracy those with power will always strive to crush those without, to believe otherwise is idiotic.

Oh, stay classy bioware marketing. I don't 100% believe it, but at this point, sure. Might as well believe it.

Nah. If they don't want to change the ending, then they just won't change the ending. No need for this cloak and dagger conspiracy stuff.

Plus, this whole "my cousin's uncle's barber's nephew's friend" stuff just reeks of BS.

It's almost a given. Thanks for the thought, anyways. They are a minority on this forum, and I doubt that will be changing

I'll believe this exact story as much as I believe anyone who says: "I've got this friend, right..."

Quite lame, and a discredit to the movement.

Obviously, the intent is to drown out the
negativity from most of us who actually hated the endings.

Exercise in futility.

Don't be hating on PR: I moved from what was considered a successful medical career into the PR world, and my pay and benefits has improved markedly.

Also, PR is 90% damage control over client "misdemeanours" so yes, this could be considered a valid control.

(No, I've never seen it done as I'm still working with hospitals :P)
