YES!
DA3 should have a ending like DAO and not such a cliffhanger like DA2.

[Combat- i actually like DA2 combat for the most part. Loose the drop in waves of mobs but definatley keep the current pace we saw with DA2. I find mages a lot more enjoyable in DA2 with the new system. DAO mages standing rooted to the spot slowly firing spells of i wouldnt like to see come back
Were you happy with the combat in Legacy? We tried to get the encounters more rational there.

Also, the tone and thought behind these annoucements seem to be hopeful, or at least very respectful. That is likeable.
As for DA3, I guess it comes down to "giving the player agency" and the artistic vision of what you want to make. Origins was good (for me) because it was sorta cold and calm, like real life (no over-the-top and cheesy stuff in dialogue nor actions), and at the same it held something magical beyond. Magic and the likes were not inflated like in DA2. It was an epic story which I could really go along with, and believe the heroism - only because the characters were realistic (believable is a better word) yet written in a witty, bold and creative manner.
There is yet faith in BW. Hence all the discussions about DA2 and whatnot.

Sorry, I'm just upset here. Us DA2 fans get treated like garbage sometimes.

I am truly sorry that so many haters poisoned this game. There really are many, many people out there who adored DAII.

Hey, BioWare people! If you're reading this, consider a multiplayer where the gamer can choose between main characters, including the Warden and Hawke? Seriously, that wouldn't be *too* hard to incorporate, it'd satisfy a LOT of fans, and frankly, I might **** my pants at the news if I ever hear it. Okay, maybe not THAT excited, but I'm certain people would love it.
In other thoughts, pursue that MMO idea you had for Mass Effect, only for DA. Because, as suited as Mass Effect is for MMOdom, Dragon Age is equally so. I LOVED being set inside a city in Ferelden and living out my hero's life inside it. Multiply that times a dozen, and that sets for extreme epic scale.

I'm excited to see where the series heads next, I honestly believe you guys will learn from the mistakes of DA2, and DA3 will be all the better for it. Not that I didn't still enjoy DA2. There were some cool additions and changes, but ultimately it was one step forward, two steps back.

- A real war between mages and the Chantry and its consequences all over Thedas and your capability to decide where and how things end.
- The return to 3 playable races, and maybe the qunari as well.
- The return of origin stories, or at least a different background so your character can be unique in a way. A background for apostate mages and Chantry templars or clerics would be really interesting.
- More skills. You didn´t have to slice more than half of DAO skills, only the useless/redundant ones.
- Some actual sense of reality on your choice on specializations. So you decide to be a Blood Mage, everyone is afraid of them but they just "pretend" you´re not one?
- And finally, the development of Morrigans´ story and her god-child, whatever that becomes.

I'll try to give my share of feedback:
- I have played the game several times, and the reason I still managed to enjoy it was the companions. They are what saved the game for me. Because of that, I found the lack of interaction with your companions disappointing. I hope this can be brought back to Origins level in the next game.
- I liked the idea of the friendship-rivalry system, but a flaw in it was that rivalry mostly meant being a jerk to your companions, while I think that was not the idea behind rivalry (I respect you, but I don't agree with you). Being a bully doesn't really mean you are being respected. So I think rivalry should be separated from the like/dislike. Instead perhaps being a douche brings you closer to neutral, or a separate meter for the like/dislike, although I understand that last one may complicate things too much.
- No long, tiresome fights, please. Neither regular fights with waves of enemies or endless boss fights. Dragon Age Origins was the first RPG I played, so basically I sucked pretty badly at it. I don't know how many times I have died on my first playthrough with my elven mage. Yet I found a challenge in that, and I have eventually managed to complete the game on normal difficulty, without ever lowering it to easy. I was not tempted to do that either, except for one certain point near the end. In Dragon Age 2, however, I got so extremely bored and sick of the fighting I swapped the difficulty from hard to easy, just to get it over with. I know the enemy waves have been addressed in the DLC, but I can't say I really liked the boss there either. The thing with those phased fights is, I usually manage pretty well, and then something happens in the last phase and I die. Personally I am then very annoyed I have to go through ten more minutes of the boss fight again. It feels like a waste of time.
- Better motives for people turning "evil". Grace wanting to kill the Champion after you have fought the templars for her/lied to the templars for her to escape makes no sense. It is annoying and frustrating, just as Orsino turning into a harvester when you side with the mages. More logic there, please.
- Mentioned before, but important, so I'll mention it as well: choices that matter. The gamespot review promised me choices that would come to bite me in the ass later. Four playthroughs later, my ass is still free of bitemarks. I have thought about this and tried to remember one choice that had bitten me, but I honestly can't think of anything. Perhaps Isabela not returning with the thome if your relationship with her isn't high enough, but that's all.
- A decent ending next time, not a cliffhanger. Please. This is not the Vampire Diaries where I can get a next episode next week.
I wish you good luck with the next game, and I am looking forward to seeing how it will turn out.

On the other hand, I liked the improved animations in the second game (but can we find a middle ground between the DA;O mage (stand back and passively shoot a little energy ball) and DA2 mage (IM'A SPIN AROUND AND THROW FIREBALLS! WOOOOOO!)
I would like a story that expands on the world. I love Kirkwall, but I want to see the other Free Cities. Tevinter, Orlais. I dont want to see three roads of any given city; I want cities to explore. Im not asking for a GTA open world style game, but four corridors does not a city make. I would gladly wait 3 years for a game that had that.

Too sad it wont be continued anymore but i guess trolls won this round...
For DA 3 i really hope you bring back Morrigan's story as well as Flemmeth's and place it in the Mage-Templar War as it was foretold in the Witch Hunt DLC and Flemmeth in DA 2.
Also continue the Architect's and Corypheus story. Give us Tevinter and Arlathan background and you have a really story background.
I think that's what the fans expect and i really hope to see.Loved DA:O , loved DA 2 and will love DA 3 equally

Some other things that bothered me: - The lack of places to go. I really get bored of going the same places over and over again. I can understand why it was like this though since Hawke lived in Kirkwall so of course that's where it would be focused. It just felt so limited is all. - Unable to change party members armor. - And not as much gift giving. I know it's a really small thing, I just really like giving gifts so I like to have a lot of things to choose from and give stuff out like I'm freaking Santa Clause.
...Gift giving.. <3

And not such acrobatic jumping like in DA2. A warrior with a 2H? Are you serious?
And give the warrior the two 1H skill back...

I seriously thought it I had about half the game left when it ended, it felt so unresolved I can't even describe it. Still makes me simmer when I think about it. After Mass Effect 3 I don't have such high hopes, it feels like EA has beaten Bioware out of you after those two games or that you just got lazy but hey, maybe I'm wrong? Maybe DA3 actually will be a worthy followup on DAO.

While Dragon Age 2 wasn't all bad, there certainly are some things you need to keep in mind when designing the third installment.
From what I gather from forums, friends, co-players, and my own experiences through RPGs, the one thing people miss is the emphasis on incredible detail and immersion that old RPGs lived on when there was no graphics to think of. Please keep the following in mind:
Character relationships - YES! More of these please, with even more dialogue, interesting personal stories, and interaction with your companions and love interests. Some of my most memorable moments of DA:O and DAII include unlocking new dialogue with Morrigan, Isabela, and the rest.
Open world - PLEASE! At least partially, like in Guild Wars 2. I've heard that you've been looking a lot at Skyrim lately. Whether true or false, this is a good thing to do. I love having a loose structure to follow in terms of story and missions, but given how rich the DA universe has become, I think it is fair to say that most of us would like to explore the world more fully, on our own terms.
Customisation - Keep in mind that most good RPGs come with the ability to properly decide how you and your companions look and fight. By all means give them a personality and preferred fighting style, but allow us to shape the way they look and fight to some extent.
Rewards - Learn from the questionable endings of both Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim. People want to feel that their actions throughout the game matter. Make sure the world and its people fully appreciate what you do, be it good or bad. We need conclusion without confusion. I loved the party camp from DA:O, and think this should be taken even further. Perhaps more people will be able to tag along for the ride, simply to populate your own little camp. Or perhaps you have a fort like in DA:O:Awakening which you could populate.
World Design - It isn't everything, but a well developed world with original models, textures, and such will immerse the players and add to replayability a lot more than being able to kill the same enemies ten times over. Perhaps give us a little house somewhere where we can find some peace and quiet every now and then, with a companion (or several) of our choice waiting for us?
Those are just some of the things I'd like to see more emphasis on in DA3, but I trust you will make a good job. I might still buy the game if it looks promising, despite my disappointment with DA2.

Same here, the fact you got to talk to your companions a little bit after everything was done was great.

I still haven't purchased a single DLC for DA2, and I'll definitely be taking in any news about DA3 (if that ever gets made) with a huge amount of skepticism.
As it stands, unless I hear anything that'll get me very, very, very interested, I doubt I'll be pre-ordering or even getting DA3.
Whatever the case will be, tho', I honestly hope DA3 is a much better release, esp. after my much recent disappointment w/ ME3 (which, if the ending thingy isn't 'fixed', I won't be buying DLCs for, either).
Thanks for the effort, tho', devs.
