Yes, there be spoilers here...

Even though I prefer fairytale endings, I was not upset by my three no-win choices at the end. The story made it clear they were fighting simply for survival, so I was expecting bad things to happen. What I was disappointed with, though, was the story in regards to my friends and companions. In ME1 I romanced Ashley. In ME2 I romanced Miranda. Regardless of whether they considered ME their romantic partner, we were very close friends. And yet, I had very little chance for interaction with either woman, especially in the first half of the game. And what irked me the most, and what basically ruined the game for me, is that I chose Miranda and the last opportunity to talk to her and say goodbye was via HOLOGRAM! WTF! The way Liara said goodbye was PERFECT, and I NEVER romanced her! So, bottom line is, my last moments with my friends was VERY disappointing. The story in respect to a romanced Miranda was beyond comprehension.

Contructive thoughts: This is a tough one, because I think the issues are scattered throughout the entire game. But at the very least, the ending could be repaired to help give some closure. I want to spend time with all of my friends IN PERSON. And for anyone I romanced, I want to see a tender, emotional moment, much like with Liara, but even more so, since "we're in love"! Yes, I'm somewhat of a romantic, I suppose.

I can only assume that the complete lack of Miranda in the story was due to budget; I can't imagine the BW writers intentionally NOT including her in the story in any meaningful way, but I'm starting to wonder if my faith is misplaced. Ashley--if I had romanced her--was only marginally better. Even though she was in my party, there just wasn't that personal connection, given our history.

In summary, I don't know if I'd ever play this game again, even if it was "fixed". I'd have a difficult time forgetting the story as it already happened. Perhaps if the entire game story was enhanced, I'd revisit it after a while, but not so soon.

Good luck, BioWare. I've been a long-time fan, but let's just say I'm now "once bitten". :(
