No. I may appreciate their work but I'm not their friend and they're not doing me or anyone else a "favour" creating this game. I'm their customer and Mass Effect is a commercial product that I pay them for.

I may feel sorry for certain individuals working for BioWare because they're having to be human shields against the anger or because their contribution is being masked by the terrible work done on the ending. But not the company itself.

They worked so hard on Mass Effect 3 and now everyone's being mean to them because of the ending.  Could you imagine what it would be like if all of your fans suddenly turned against you?

I think we need to show our emotional support for Bioware.  Even though we didn't like the ending we need to let them know that we still love and care about them and everybody makes mistakes.

It sure doesn't feel like they worked that hard with their nearly identical endings, multiple stock photos, lack of conversations and conversation choices and technical issues. I'm sure that at least some of them did, but it sure as hell didn't translate to the finished product.

I get your complain about the ending and stock photos but not the complains about choises or technical issues. I mean until the end you did have multiple choises in many grand scale things. Quarian/Geth, Grogan issue, that alien queen and so on. And smaller scale choises in side quests. I didnt have nay other tecnical problems than few frame rate issues on xbox 360.

As for feeling sorry for Bioware? Well considering the quality of rest of the game versus the end I think most of them wanted to end the story with honor, but they run out of resources. So I feel sorry for them because I guess EA didnt let them finish the game with style. Though I dont like the way LIED about the ending and didnt correct their statements about it before release.

I feel sorry for BioWare's employees who made ME3 as epic as it is. Their hard work and all the effort they put in is not getting enough credit due to some confusing and illogical ending scenes.

I do, yes. The game was wonderful up until the last few minutes, and I like Bioware's games as a whole -- yes, even DA2 -- so though I have happily donated to Child's Play in the name of the Retake ME3 movement, they have my sympathies.

If it had not been for the amount of promises made about the ending and the fact that the ending was the exact thing they promised wouldn't happen.... I'm struggle to feel as bad for them as I would if they hadn't made all those promises. As much as I loved the rest of the game the fact that they said the ending would branch out based on choices and that there would be closure, yet the endings we got lacked either of those...

It's hard to feel sympathy for a faceless entity but as individuals who were trying to do what they felt was best with what they had and getting little but baseless hate thrown back at them yes it does inspire a feeling that they have been hard done by as a collective.

To see a fan base, even if a very vocal minority turn on you with such ungrateful disgust would be enough to give anyone pause. A fan base that exhibits the worst that the Internet has to offer with threats, taunts, public decries, mockery and every other form of hate known. The blind hate that the Internet is famous for and famous for firing off in the dark without any concept of the repercussions, responsibility or knowledge of the situation beyond their own narrow view.

I feel sorry for them for having to put up with people who think they know better and feel they are entitled to something more because of whatever reason they want to conjure up. I feel sorry for them being the target of people's hate and ire that doesn't even hate anything to do with the game but which is just being used as a convenient excuse.

They deserved better than this, but that doesn't matter in the face of righteous anger.

Not the organization. Some of their employees? Yeah, a little.

@Danathon, I am a customer, not a fan.

If we don't tell them we're upset, then EA will make them churn out rushed/crap games.
We don't want more Call of Duty...the fact that so many people buy that crap indicates what cows so many consumers are.

Bioware did this to itself. Keep in mind the Devs bragged that the ending would upset people.

Mission accomplished.

Since when is Bioware a charity? I dunno about anyone else but I paid for this game. If there's something I don't like about it, they should hear it.

Why should i? They not only brought this on themselves but their reaction, or lack thereof is making things worse.

I do, Bioware made many amazing games which overall are beautiful. They have stumbled here and there recently but on the whole they have always provided rich and awesome stories and characters. I believe they deserve another chance.

Not sure if serious...or just marketing intern (Google "not sure if serious" and insert an image you deem appropriately offensive)

You are the consumer. They are making a product. You are not required to automatically like every product they make. Furthermore, you are not responsible for Bioware not doing their homework and misjudging fan reaction to the ending.

You have been deceived. Casey lied to you. They can get away with it on a mere technicality (games being exempt from Distance Selling Regulation), but they cannot make you be happy with it.

Do I feel sorry for Bioware? Sometimes.... but then I see the trolls lately and my empathy becomes less and less.

Though what I think some people are forgetting is that Bioware is a company who released a product. The consumer has every right to voice their displeasure (despite what some may insist on telling you). I mean what are we supposed to do, hold our conscience to ransom because some want to guilt trip us unnecessarily?

You got what you are entitled to as a customer, a product and support for the product.  You don't get anything under the rights of a customer to something you 'like'.  That onus is on you.

Own up to your own feelings.  If you don't like the ending you don't like.  Say so, move on.  You have no obligations or rights beyond that.  If you want to start talking about publishers and developers taking consumers for a ride find another bandwagon to jump onto.  This is not about the nature of gaming changing, its about and your own wants and your issue with not getting them.  Deal with it and not just throw all your hate around in a misguided fashion and feel you are accomplishing something.

The fact is that they ended the storyline of one of their most popular franchise. A franchise that they have made millions and millions of dollars off of. And they did it in such a lazy, half-hearted way that they should get raked over the coals for it. Maybe instead of spending all that money on CGI advertising they could have put it into making a game worth all the hype.

Bioware is a company that sold 3.5 million copies for sixty dollars. I am not even counting how much money they are making off of multiplayer for people who want to pay for extra packs.  Since they made multiplayer an intricate part of the completion process, you know they were thinking about making lots of money. This is about a money, and I am sure everyone at Bioware is getting bonus checks at the end of the year for a job well done.
