The fact that nobody at Bioware stopped and said, "Wow, this ending is total ****, what are you guys thinking?" is far more troubling to me than anything else.

They jerked our chains, telling us our choices mattered and that we wouldn't get ending "A, B, or C"...only our choices didn't mean squat and we got ending A, B, and C. We poured our money and our time into the games they produced because we trusted them to give us what we wanted and something that was worthy of our time and money. They failed - and chose to fail, on top of it, in the name of being artsy - and are now getting flak for it. So no, no pity from me. If anything, I really hope they don't end up getting rewarded for this crap by people giving in and throwing more money at them for DLC and other games without them first trying to make amends.

"This story arc is coming to an end with this game. That means the
endings can be a lot more different. At this point we're taking into
account so many decisions that you've made as a player and reflecting a
lot of that stuff. It's not even in any way like the traditional game
endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got
ending A, B, or C."It's more like there are some really obvious things that are
different and then lots and lots of smaller things, lots of things about
who lives and who dies, civilizations that rose and fell, all the way
down to individual characters. That becomes the state of where you left
your galaxy. The endings have a lot more sophistication and variety in
them."
.....no, I don't feel sorry for them.

They worked so hard on Mass Effect 3 and now everyone's being mean to them because of the ending. Could you imagine what it would be like if all of your fans suddenly turned against you?
I think we need to show our emotional support for Bioware. Even though we didn't like the ending we need to let them know that we still love and care about them and everybody makes mistakes.
Nope.. don't feel sorry one little bit. I have been litterally physically and mentally sick since the ending. I dont feel sorry for anyone that has intentionally put me through mental and emotional stress.

The wrath was well deserved and in my opinion also very well predictable. I can't belive they didn't see it coming. The endings were miserable, period.
The rest of the game was really brilliant, what makes the ending even more offending.

Since Hudson was interviewed in the official xbox magazine saying this.....

Indeed, statements like these are unforgivable considering they knew what the reality was.

I'm sorry but I don't see how they didn't see this coming. Did they not do ANY focus testing to see what the reaction to the ending would be? The game in general is great, but the ending ruins the whole thing.
So, no I don't feel sorry for them. They have only themselves to blame for this disaster.
THIS.
Surely, surely, surely, SURELY they games tested their product?
In the words of the extra creditz team, "we[gaming industry] test everything else, down to the colours used in packaging". Why not test the game's ending as well?!

as for the producers, marketing dept, and the like.. not in the slightest. if these guys would have been HONEST with us from the start, they wouldnt be in this position in the first place.
edit: why do i feel sorry for the devs, QA, artists, etc.. because im sure a lot of them saw this coming.

No. Just as I don't feel sorry for HItler.
Yes I did just compare Mass Effect 3 to the Holocaust.
Congratulations. Most REVOLTING post on the BSN ever.
I sure hope Bioware sticks to their guns now, people like you do NOT deserve to be catered to.

in fact, I probably feel more sorry for them as a result - it's WORSE when you know the screw up is your own fault.
that doesn't change how I feel about the ending though... I still want it explained, if not changed.
