Just had someone reply to me on Twitter saying that it's wrong to change the game over a minority... How can anyone honestly believe this is some small thing unless they haven't kept up to date on what's actually happening?

Because people are ignorant and it doesn't help that the gaming media are calling us the 'entitled' minority to try and dismiss us.

In Soviet Russia, the majority is the minority, and the minority is the majority!

Because it's BioWare's work, not yours.

Its because people assume that the silent majority automaticly likes the Ending ... which cant be proven ...

But fact is ... we have 42k people ...

People have been misled by those articles sucking up to EA. I'd hardly call 98% of all people polled a minority.

First off, being dismissive will win you no friends. Second, this isn't related at all to the question that was asked, which has to do with people legitimately thinking this is a minority of players and not a vast majority which any data we actually have shows.

Well, with the poll having about 60,000 votes, and the overwhelming majority saying they disliked the ending, all you have to do is scale that ratio up and you'll learn that we're not the minority.

It's called statistics.

There is a facebook group for keep the ending and last I checked they had 27 members, that's a vocal minority.

Going to be interesting to see what happens if they actually do release Omega DLC (or any pre-ending DLC for that matter)

I also see no reason for said people to be so vocal over something that would be, in the end, optional. If you don't want a new ending, no one is forcing you to play it. I don't see why you would want tens of thousands of people to not enjoy their games as much as you did, and I don't see why you wouldn't want BioWare to potentially win back a lot of good press and the cash that comes along with such a venture.

42k compared to the overall games sales is a minority of the people who bought the game.

There has been no real proof that any majority dislikes something only internet polls that are not done fairly since there is no control over how many times you can vote and no way to look at demographics of people who dislike something.

I've yet to see any evidence that makes it look like a very noisy minority claiming to represent every single person who played the game. Generally people just pull any statistic that supports their claims while dismissing others claims or paronising them for diagreeing with their view.

This has been stated on a few articles including CNN.

Disregard, I thought you were talking about new endings with 27 members. Never mind.

A minority of the buyers have expressed outrage in forums or on petition pages. A majority of polled players thinks it's horrible. Both statements are true.

Dont understand the concept of sample groups? As long as they dont believe any research, political polling or anything that uses anything less than 100% of a concerned populace, it´s fine. Otherwise just unfounded assumptions based on emotional evidence not empirical.

It is a minority- ~50,000 favor an ending change, ~5,000 are adamantly against it.  The game has sold over a million copies.  So, the majority (945,000) aren't losing sleep over this and don't care that much.  That is the majority.
