What Bonus Power do you suggest for Soldier class?

Greetings,

I'm currently playing ME3 as a soldier. What bonus power do you suggest?
Since I'm currently relying on weapons use I though inferno grenades would be a wise choice.

What do you think?
Any other suggest?

I have that same dilemma. . I usually like to stay class bound. . . So if your that way too I would sayammo power AP or Warp ammo or either sticky grenades or inferno grenades . . .either way no cool downs . . . I have stuck with Ammo powers. . . But if your not class bound use stasis or dark channel

warp ammo. It allows you to deal with barrier wielding foes (especially phantoms) if your concussive shot misses.

If Carnage then take Incindiary Ammo for the occasional fiery explosion combo.  AR Rush with bonus power spec, fire off some shots to proc Incindiary and then finish with Carnage for a nice boom.

Defense Matrix is the one defensive power in the game that doesn't suck.  Emergency shield recharge is a life saver.

Getting ammo powers as bonus is kinda pointless since all you need you already have, 4 points in Cryo to get squad and 6 points in Incendiary for yourself for max damage.
Let Liara take care of barriers with Warp.

Defense Matrix is excellent oh sh*t button that fully recharges your shields in emergency and Carnage is good for more aggressive playstyle.

I would say it depends on the level of difficulty your playing at.For hardcore or insanity I chose Defense Matrix for the extra defense, for veteran and lower I like to have Carnage for the quicker kills.

I didnt take carnage as bonus power . . .instead fully upgrade CS and inferno Ammo and you have carnage plus to deal with phantoms I and warp ammo to CS and pound them to death along with banshee. . .the last evolution of CS will let you add the effect of your choice of ammo power to it . . .its pretty damn handy

Or you can let Liara cast Singularity every 2 seconds and shoot flying Guardians like fish in the barrel.

But what if you dont take Liara with u . . .? I love Liara but if you dont micro manage her she gets killed quick she likes to run out into the middle of fire fights. . . . I like taking Prothy he has good set of powers give him the prothean rifle he does great pops in and out of cover and decent survivability . . . But back on topic. . . I pick ammo powers . . .because there is one to take care of each type of enemy if you don't have a squad mate with you to handle the situation

Maxed Incendiary ammo takes care of pretty much anything and as extra bonus makes most mobs panic. Marauder shields are joke and only mob that really uses good barriers is Banshee and those are luckily rare. Phantoms are not too much trouble either with Adrenaline Rush.

Earlier you suggested to use defense matrix as a bonus power . . .  what does it mean that it slows down power

I took shield drain just so I didn't have to worry about yet another ammo type, works well especially if you take the 15 second invincibility upgrade.

I do everything myself, I shouldn't have to rely on anyone! =]

carnage is the bee's knees. stacking carnage with vega's carnage and liara's heavy warp.... that's some serious firepower right there.

I don't really see the need for a bonus power with the soldier, so I don't think it really matters what you pick. In most situations, you're better off using your cooldown for AR as far as I'm concerned. I took Carnage and hardly ever used it.

I was thinking Marksman combined with the Adrenaline Rush evolution that lets you use 1 power would be pretty awesome, but the wiki says you can't use both at the same time.

Thats so true thats why I had a hard time figuring which one to use. . . Ap ammo is what I stuck with, it seems to cut thur Guardian  shields like butter and great with brutes . . .  for the most part  AR and Marksman kind of cross paths so that was out and I like pure combat items for my Soldier, so no biotics and the protection powers I can gve myself bonuses with combat armor pieces. . . I stick with upgraded Inferno ammo and use the others for special situations cyro to slow up enemies , disruptor for shields , Ap for brutes and Cerberus Guardians. . . full upgraded CS to use ammo powers with . . . alot of times a CS with cryo will freeze and  shatter enemies. . . . inferno upgraded to explosive ammo on CS acts like carnage and AP on CS . . . armored goons don't stand a chance. . . .:o

While carnage is super fun times I tried adrenaline rush with a bonus power and that power being marksman with full fire rate upgrades.
It was insane. If you have the revenant or the particle rifle make sure to upgrade the ammo clip capacity and you will erase targets.

I kicked myself mentally thinking this was stupid. But when a charging brute is erased by a revenant/Particle rifle with incendiary ammo within a marksman inside Ad rush on hardcore... it's fun times :D

I chose armor-piercing, no real reason for it - I just like taking down enemies as quickly as possible and with as few shots as possible.

Are you sure it actually worked? I mean, it sounds great, but as I said above, the ME wiki says that the Marksman bonus won't work inside of an Adrenaline Rush. They aren't always right on these things though, so if you are right, Marksman would clearly be the best choice.

Seemed like it worked O:
As a soldier i spent most of my time in an Adrenaline rush since I had basically a 150% cooldown and my armor amped power recharge

Maybe I am wrong. Do cooldowns stack if you use another power in AR?
Would suck if I thought i was using marksman in AR and actually wasnt :<

I'm finding Carnage to be pretty damn good - good damage against armor, nice compliment to Concussive Shot, and has great synergy with your ammo powers:
Incendiary Ammo + Carnage = cause an enemy on fire to explode in a fiery blast that damages any enemy near
Distruptor Ammo + Carnage = cause a stunned enemy to explode with electricity that shocks every enemy near it
Cyro Ammo + Carnage = cause a frozen enemy to explode in shards of ice that damage any enemy around it
