Extra content for the Mass Effect series, be it in game or merchandise is not likely until the ending is resolved. As for other series?

I'll be wary regardless, only responsible stance to take as a customer. If customer complaints are addressed and a solution is provided then I'll be wary sure but I'll be likely to give them the benefit of the doubt. Just not with the sprinkles of enthusisim and free promotion they got for previous titles.

While the ending in Mass Effect 3 was atrocious in my opinion I don't think I'm going to let it keep me from supporting Bioware in the future since their games are some of the most fun I've had while playing.... even with the terrible level designs in Dragon Age 2 I kept playing it since I found it to be quite entertaining. The ending controversy will probably just cause me to hold off before buying their next game at launch.

My interest in B(EA)ware's products has been severely diminished since EA bought them. Every decision they've made has pushed me further and further away as a possible consumer. With their crass approach to selling DLC, their games are no longer games. They're platforms for selling more stuff. I'm tired of them treating me like a cow to be milked for money. Entertain me *first*. Earn my patronage. Then ask for more money. But be polite about it, will you?

If they repair ME3, or release a 'game of the year' edition, where they remove the Multiplayer requirement and repair the (intentionally?) broken ending, I will be happy to buy that. Heck, if they offered me a PS3 edition of Mass Effect 1, I'd be all over that like white on rice. But I'm very, very wary of EA in general now and B(EA)ware in particular.

I miss the Bioware that created the games I used to love and play over and over. What happened to them?

DA2, SWTOR, and now ME3...

Bioware is dead to me. It's clear their path isn't a one I wish to walk upon anymore.

An rpg is based on story and the ending(s) is too important to be so poorly considered. After Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 i think i will not play another bioware game.
I've already stop playing swtor because i can transfer the security key to my new smartphone...

I probably won't buy any ME3 DLC, and I'm not going to pre-order any further Bioware titles for a while. I'm not swearing off them, but I will be much more careful about what I purchase. The only exception to this would be Jade Empire 2, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Honestly: yes

Imagine they create a new incredible frachise with a great story that will take three games.

¿Would you risk investing yourself in this story and in this characters for years only to have your hopes crushed again with the ending of the last game? I wouldn't for sure.

this. If i ever buy another bioware game it will be after the final one has been released and i can pick up all the games in the series and play in one hit. they wont burn me like this again

I wanted to start buying DLC to round up my ME3 experience. Now I don´t have any need to do it unless they do something good about the endings.

Will not punish another game if it´s really good.

What I´ll not do is preorder based on what they say about a game. No more merchandise and PR lies.

I may buy more Bioware games, but I will not be doing so at release anymore. I probably won't buy anything Mass Effect related, though (unless of course the ending gets fixed in some way). That ending kind of killed off my enjoyment of the series.

defenitly no dlc , i mean i just dont see the point in getting dlc
for a game that isnt finished.

Future games hard to say but defenitly no pre orders
the false promises and the previous me games made me buy me 3 right away
without any doubt , was not expecting a perfect game.. but a good one like the last 2
Epic.. But got kicked in the nuts instead.

to be honest after the last 3 disappointments bioware put out that I preorderder (DA2 SWTOR and MS3 thanks to the bad ending) I personly lost faith in the studio. None of the above is even NEAR in the quality of their previous games so no I'm probably not gonna buy more bioware games. DLC for ms3 is not an option couse the ending pretty much sinks the aftermarket they could have offered me.

ps by quilty of previous titles i mean in the context of the time they where made.

Yeah, I felt the same like you. I knew the hype would not make it that good, but I was pleasantly surprise it wasn't that bad (apart from the stupid journal). Those little encounters of previous squadmates was great... Then I got the ending, and was awed at how they could use 5-10 minutes to kill the entire franchise.

Personally, Didn't like DA 2, strike one. Didn't like SWTOR, strike two. Giving us a game like this? Strike three. Done with Bioware. All hail our new Bethesda overlords!

I'll wait and see how BioWare handles the current situation first.  If they do like Bethesda did with Fallout 3, then all is well.

However, I will now consider the presence of an EA logo to be a negative aspect of any future game I consider purchacing.

Same here. KOTOR 2 was a big disappointment too. But I don't see Bioware as the problem here. I do think they are great storytellers and a very competent company. EA on the other hand ... and since there's no more Bioware without EA, I do not care how good future games will be. I don't want to see the EA logo on my screen ever again. I would buy an ending DLC or expansion pack for ME 3 though, but that's it.

I will never, ever again pre-order another game from anyone.
I will never, ever again buy any game without reading a lot of user reviews.
I will never, ever again buy any game without knowing the ending of it first. Which means I will never, ever again have that first unspoiled play through. I feel really burned.

You bet it will. Other then DLC for ME3 I'm done with EA/BW games.

Too old to bother with having fun from entertainment media spoiled in last second.

Ending that bad is like you were reading the book and on the very last page with the very last moment found dog's fecal matter smeared all over that page.

Then you grab a phone and call a publisher and hear:
- "thats an artistic expression of our unforgettable ending sir, you must be very slow not to get it's deep philosophical meaning".

as Nietzsche said

The most perfidious way of harming a cause consists of defending it deliberately with faulty arguments.

I don't give my money to companies who wantonly screw over their fans. If nothing is done to fix the endings, Bioware will fall into that category.

It is not a disagreement, it is disgust. I disagree with the decision to end the trilogy by destroying the mass relays and sacraficing Shepard's future as the only choice. I would, however be OK with the ending if that was the actual issue. I am disgusted by the shoddy end-scene writing, use of a last minute god-entity to force a resolution, lack of any core character story resolution, pre-release smoke and mirrors promises and the blatant theft of another sci-fi RPG series' central theme as a way to tack on the illusion of an "artsy" ending. Oh, and then expect us to buy pre-ending DLC. Disgust.

If nothing changes for the first time I will... actually need to think twice before buying anymore Bioware Games, through in the end I likely still will, because no one else really makes games in the sameway and I love their way. I love the stroies the way they can make characters feel alive, in a way no other company does. Yet I would take a deep breath in the future, I'd think about it longer, thats the way I feel right now.

Erm Hy your aware KOTOR 2 was produced by Obisdian not Bioware, and that truthfully, the issue with that game was Lucasarts telling them to get it out for Christmas before the game was completed?

It will play an impact on DLC or future mass effect games (as the universe is largely dead to me).  At the moment I dont care for either.

I wont preemptively write off future Bioware products though.  Ill be more cautious about day 1 though.

If they don't change/add new endings then no I won't buy anymore Bioware games. I really don't want that to happen since they are more than capable of delivering a good and satisfying ending on all spectrums(Dragon Age Origins proved this).
