I was under the impression that all the weapons, armor and such from ME2 would be available in ME3. Am I the only one who doesn't have any of their old weapons or armor? Do I unlock it later in the game? Is it because my face didn't import? I would appreciate a quick response.

You unlock them during missions mostly, few are store bought in Citadel.

Every mission has some weapons, armor pieces and mods scattered around the playfield, just need to pick them up. Some are somewhat hidden so exploring the playfields is always good idea.

They are all mixed. Mostly you uncover more lethal weapons later in game. Things from DLC's like Mattock, Geth Shotgun etc. are all there too. Quite a few completely new weapons and armor pieces too.
