A substantial drop off after release is normal.

Well, I'm no considering this good news. I mean, Bioware created an ending that they thought would be satisfying. Apparently they made a mistake, but I'm not gonna skewer them for it. Besides, if EA decides to cut their losses and write ME3 off as a loss, how good do you think your chances of getting this mythical ending dlc are?

This....95% of the game is extremely good...and I'm not about to jump off a cliff over the end...
But I can't say I won't be happy if we get a new/better/extendended one.
Just that I know it will still not please everyone..

I think this poem puts it best of the situation bioware is currently in:
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Your profits are dying,
This hurts you."

This needs to be part of this thread.

selling soccer in the uk is like selling hockey in canada, you cannot compete with it

Being from Argentina myself, i can say: "And let's have in count that it was fifa street and not FIFA13 or PES 2013"

Now think of the number of locations that are giving full refunds.. be intresting to see how many times the game has now been sent back.

I'll be honest. If that's the case, it doesn't make me happy.

I want the endings of Mass Effect 3 fixed, but I don't want it to tank. I want BioWare to notice it has a major issue, but I want their hard work with the majority of the game to be rewarded. The last thing I want is any future ME titles or patches/DLC to be negatively affected.

It's a hard line to walk. Yeah, I want BioWare to realize they made a rather hefty mistake, but I don't like seeing a damaged ship be sunk by its own fans. Granted, it's BioWare's responsibility to fix the issue, but I love the game, and the ME universe, enormously. The last thing I want to see is it doing poorly.

they are not expecting me3 to sell as me2, they expect it to sell MORE.

Hold the line people!

It took ME2 nearly 2 full years to sell as many copies as ME3 did in 2 weeks.

It will sell more.

You would have to live on Khar'shan to not have seen the ending by now so its an understandable sales drop..

This saddens me.
I do not want Bioware to suffer. I am not vengeful or petty- acknowledgment of a mistake, the curbing of executive interests and then mollifying and improved future products. None of which can occur if the company itself dies.
An announcement might help things.

Well I cant say anything about the german sales numbers.

But my PC Collectors Edition cost me 74,99 Euro at release at amazon.de.
It is now down to 69,90 Euro.

PS3 normal edition is at 55 Euro, usually new games go for 65 Euro.
Darksiders II is set at 69 for excample.
Would be interesting to get sale numbers out of amazon.de

I've seen prices coming down here in the states too. Local Best buy dropped it by $10 already as has amazon (for PC).

With the horrible endings, there is no point to replaying. I expect that gamestops will start getting used copies piling up soon as more people trade them back in.

Remember people: HOLD THE LINE

Sure, the numbers might be higher than ME2, but you realize how much more marketing they've put into ME3, right?

ME3's budget is probably around 3-4 times that of ME2.

Considering it dropped 74% but is still at No.2 invalidates your argument.

Wait, and see. ME2 has better legs and media exposure than ME3. I expect a 60-70% drop next week too.
